Lots of clearly marked vegan options, about half the menu. Nice place centrally located near the main square. We had the korma, two types of rice, garlic naan and onion salad. The korma was paler than I was expecting but it was all really delicious, would definitely recommend.

So tasty but reservation system is wicked - Edit
Reservations are encouraged so we reserved for the first dinner slot at 5:30. Showed up on time and they were closed. Didn’t open for another 30 minutes. So we came back at 6, and thankfully they still accepted the reservation. Told them what had happened and they shrugged and said it hadn’t been fixed.
Read moreThe food made up for the bad reservation experience. We eat a lot of Indian food, and our meal was almost perfect. We had the Tofu Jalfrezi and Punjabi Soya Chaat. Both dishes came with rice and were superb! We also ordered plain naan and chili coriander naan. Both were tasty but a tiny bit tough (I like my naan slightly soft).
Service was prompt which may be attributed to being one of the first diners?
Would happily return in the unlikely event we ever return to Bruges

We had wonderful dinner here. Sadly we had to wait for our second starter till after dinner and had to ask multiple times for it. We are still unsure if in the end it was really the dish we ordered. However the food we got was outstanding and we really enjoyed it.

Vegetarian Indian restaurant with lots of vegan options (all clearly labeled). Even the naans are vegan, which is awesome! I had the tofu tikka masala (comes with rice, included in price) and the garlic naan. It was delicious! I devoured it all. My only regret is not turning up the heat a bit more… I’m from the US and I’m used to eating spicy food. I ordered it medium and I didn’t think it was spicy at all. By the time I left the restaurant was full, which is a good sign. I would definitely recommend it! The interior was cute.

Read moreFor simplicty and variety we often have a thali (a 'plate meal' - several dishes served in small bowls in a big tray) as you're never sure what you will get - and it's usually good value and things that the chef can cook well. This was no exception.
On our platters there was a vegetable curry, bean curry, dhal, salad, pickles,, yogurt with cucumber, semolina halva (pudding) and rice in the middle. There was also a chapatti cut into quarters.
Good quality, tasty food, served rapidly.
There were plenty of vegan options on the menu for those who want them.
Pros: Value, Finding good food in a land of steak/frites!

A nice Indian restaurant in the centre of Bruges - Edit
This restaurant was a very nice surprise in the centre of Bruges and we had a lovely meal, probably some of the best “authentic” Indian food outside of India. They have plenty of vegan options and they all taste great, you can taste the different spices but they are not overwhelming. The service was quick and friendly, the décor quite tasteful. A very solid address for a meal in Bruges.

Next to a sea of overcrowded, middling burger joints, this place had a calming and relaxed atmosphere. I ordered the dailt lunch menu - daal, chat samosa, rice and popadoms - which was really tasty (particularly the samosa). I wish I’d ordered seasoned rice rather than standard basmati - but that’s my fault rather than the menu itself.

I thought prices for dhal or channa masala should have been cheaper (especially since portions are quite small), these are some of the cheapest foods to prepare, no expensive ingredients but costs same as all other mains. You could make a dhal half price to get as a side dish.
The decor is beautiful, I loved the photos and paintings.
Staff not particularly friendly.
