Perfection in the Park - Edit
Rustic Italian offerings (lasagna, calzoncino) plus vegan versions of familiar cafe fare (Caesar salad, panini, toasties) and good coffee, set in Victoria Park with seating in the historical sandstone Gardener's Lodge or outside under the trees make this place a perfect brunchtime / lunchtime destination. Especially if you happen to be walking doggos. Prices are moderate considering its central location, and it's wheelchair accessible. Open seven days. The zucchini fritters are pretty hard to go past for breakfast and the banana bread is perfect :)

Polenta stack was amazing - Edit
Very quiet and serene place, we had the polenta stack and the mushroom with vegan blue cheese panini. The food was delicious and well priced. Will definitely be back to try other things on the menu.

New Fave Vegan Cafe! - Edit
The food is honestly probably the best vegan cafe food I’ve had in Sydney. Owned by family member of Gigi’s so you know it’s good. Had the eggplant panini and the schnitzel panini and they were both amazing. Will be coming back to try everything on the menu !

Gardener's Lodge - Edit
Came here yesterday to this heritage listed former home of the university gardener. Now a vegan eatery. I had their homemade lasagne really delicious $10 and a cocoa hazelnut smoothie (which wasn't frozen like many places i have visited) which i could actually suck through the straw. $8. Got the Happy Cow sticker. Has outdoor seating under shade and a bike rack. It does have a Gigis pizza stamp on it, the various vegan home made cheeses has that taste yummy. Vegans should give this a try.
Read moreCame here Tuesday for a drink and try the tirimisu. My partner had an iced latte she liked, i had a tropical smoothie for me these smoothies that have been pre made and so chilled could not take the exotic fruits, was bland, tiri was not how i exoected, the finger biscuits was very moist.

Really nice - Edit
This is a cute little building in the grounds of Victoria Park near Sydney uni. The menu had lots to choose from, all vegan, with sandwiches and sweets up the front. Coffee was good and smoothies really good, we also liked the food which was fresh.

Gorgeous space - Edit
Have visited several times - very friendly and attentive service, beautiful venue and a great macadamia latte. The banana bread is not 100% perfect (a bit small and very squashed by the toaster!) but I’m looking forward to trying more of the menu.

Italian cafe at best 😍 - Edit
Had the lasagne which is the best one I’ve had so far. It’s perfect if you want the guilty, cheesy, “meaty” version (no lentils).
Read moreBaked brownies also very good. Same chef / ownership as Gigi’s so calzoncino also worth a try. The cannolis are filled on order. The owner is usually there serving too - they are fairly new so the service is still a bit slow at times.
Yet to try their ciabatta options so will edit soon!
This is located on Victoria Park so probably a good prospect after a nice weekend walk or after a shopping trip at Broadway 😏

Great vegan café! - Edit
One of the only places to get (grilled) banana bread in Sydney with (vegan) butter. Acai bowl is delicious (the peanut butter drizzle is to die for) as is the schnitzel sandwich. Don’t miss this café if you’re visiting the university.

Tasty lasagna - Edit
We really enjoyed the lasagna! Very cheesy and tasty. Only wish the side salad was a bit more substantial. For $18 each we expected a bigger meal. Busy little spot in nice surroundings.

Super cute place with really nice food. One of the few places where it’s worth paying $8 for a smoothie, so yum! Got the fritters and they were great and a really good portion size.

Beaut hidden gem - Edit
Surrounded by a beautiful green park and lake is the historic building of Gardner's Lodge. Their menu is diverse and offers reasonable pricing for excellent quality food. I ordered the schnitzel panini and blueberry latte. The schnitzel panini had such a satisfying crunch of the batter, it tasted like the real thing. The blueberry latte was a tad sweet for me as towards the end I did struggle to finish it. Other than that, will be back to try the Caesar salad. Such a beautiful location for breakfast and lunch whilst offering rustic indoor seating.

Beautiful food, coffee, location and staff - Edit
Such a lovely eatery. In a beautiful stone cottage in the park, we sat outside but inside is huge and a good place to coffee with your laptop getting some work or study done. Outside is dog friendly and staff are very accomodating. Really afforfable, we got the $8 'ham and cheese' toastie- unreal. And the $15 lasagne- one of the best vegan lasagne I've ever had in my life. Would love to go back and try everything on the menu but not sure if I'll be able to get passed the lasagne, it was just SO good! Must try
