Enormous menu! Worth travelling for - Edit
Garden of Eden is a restaurant inside the department store ‘Daniels’, and faces down onto the main high street. The menu is probably one of the biggest menus I’ve ever seen in a veggie restaurant. They have pretty much everything, and even have baked goodies (sausage rolls, cakes, croissants) and sell some snacks to go too. We’re all vegan and we ordered the cheese and ham toasties, and the hotdog, and the portions were enormous. My daughter also ordered a smoothie, which was also huge!
Read moreThe cakes were amazing (we had red velvet, Neapolitan and the chocolate cake), and everything was delicious. I can’t wait to go back!

GORGEOUS! And amazing value! - Edit
This wonderful place was such a surprise! We found it on the first floor of Daniel department store in the centre of Windsor. The menu is huge and we spent half an hour trying to decide what to have. The owner, a welcoming and helpful host, gave us some help and mentioned that he’s particularly proud of his vegan curry sauce and wanted our opinion on it. I can confirm that it was utterly delicious. We chose the Vegan BBQ platter, and a tandoori ‘chicken’ kebab. I had a hot chocolate - two mugfuls in a jug, a block of choc on a spoon/marshmallows and a Biscoff on the side! My other half had an amazing vegan chocolate oat milk shake. The whole meal was amazing and the owner treated us to two desserts to take home with us. The entire bill came to £38! A wholly awesome and wholesome experience and I want to run back to try everything else!

Everything you want from a vegan restaurant - Edit
One of the best restaurants I've been to. A massive variety of dishes made it really hard to choose what to eat. Very tasty food and good value for money too. Staff are very friendly. We live over an hour from Windsor, but we all agreed that Garden of Eden is a good enough reason alone to visit again.

Lovely staff, wide selection and good prices. - Edit
Very sweet and friendly staff. Food is cafe-style, not gourmet but the selection is wide and impressive, and well assembled, with generous portion sizes and good prices. The lovely lady working at the counter also gave us free cakes as we left, which were delicious. Really impressive and a lovely find while visiting Windsor. I'd definitely return and explore more of the menu if I was local!

Really nice spot. Atmosphere is great (you don’t feel like you’re in a department store). Service was fantastic! Really nice. Food was great - very generous portions. Everything is vegan which is wonderful. Definitely would go back.

Once you find it, you will be happy - Edit
First, the restaurant is upstairs in the Daniel department store. Took us a while to find. But the range of choices and the quality is excellent. I had a vegan full English plus apple pie. Thoroughly recommended.

The Garden of Eden is nothing short of fantastic. I took my two 'meat eating' brothers and totally win them over to plant based eating.
Read moreThe portion size was, if anything, on the large side. But more to the point the quality was excellent. I say this as a chef/cook for a vegan based charity, this place gets a genuine 10/10 from me (and my brother's).

Cons: None

Killer vegan milkshakes! - Edit
The vegan coffee oat milkshake was to die for. Sooo decadent and delicious. I’d go back just for that. The menu is ginormous and all vegan making it difficult to choose. The boys got the vegan bbq platter with so many meats to share and waffle fries. It was lots of yummy things. They also got the rainbow salad to share which had lots of fresh healthy stuff. Even still they were craving something veggies after. I had the no salmon spinach benedict with scrambled tofu. It was ok but it was more a cheesy sauce than hollandaise. It was incredibly generous that if you spend £10 you get a free fresh squeezed orange juice as well. My partner also got a pineapple smoothie which was very cold but he really liked it. The food and drinks felt like amazingly good value to me. I loved the waffle fries and there was a garlic Cholula on every table in addicting to vegan mayo and ketchup. We weren’t sure if we should order at the till but we did in the end. Then later someone came out and was taking a tables order. All our food arrived at different times but maybe that’s our fault for not ordering all together. It was a cute place and they had loads of cakes and sweets for dessert but I’d already overindulged with the milkshake.

A HUGE & DELICIOUS Vegan Menu - Edit
Had a really lovely meal at the Garden of Eden today! I am vegan, and I dined with 3 vegetarians who REALLY love dairy. We ordered the Mushroom Rib Eye Steak, the BBQ Platter, Garlic Bread, Afternoon Tea and Strawberry Shakes. Everything was delicious and VERY much enjoyed by all. Very highly recommend!

Hidden gem of tastiness 😋 - Edit
Garden of Eden is a predominantly Vegan Cafe within Daniels Department store in Windsor. All dishes are vegan, although there is an option for vegan cheese to be swapped for dairy cheese & the same for vegan milk to be swapped for dairy milk.
Read moreThe choices available mean there is something for everyone, there is also alcohol free beer available & free water, along with all the classic drinks.
I love the fact that there is a generous children’s play area, which is gated so that you can relax whilst waiting for your order whilst the little ones are occupied 💚

Unoriginal and uninspired - Edit
The shame here is as a vegan, you'll recognise most of the things they sell from supermarkets and restaurants who have those same old same old vegan options, which isnt why I want to go out of my way to eat out.

I felt like a meat eater again? - Edit
When I saw the menu I had to come. It was quite the variety on offer on a single plate. Like back when I ate meat and would get a platter from the Harvester back in the day.
Read moreGoing for the BBQ platter definitely kneecapped the taste a little bit. There's only so far that plain faux meats will get you, but it definitely did it's job.
The massive menu though is definitely an indicator of everything being cooked from premade items. I could taste the bad jarred guac in my partner's vegan chicken burger.
I would definitely come again. The value and variety definitely makes it worth it. But I would 100% view every 5 star review with suspicion that the variety has clouded their judgement. The milkshake claiming to be made from vegan ice-cream, but tasting very thin, along with the creme on top, definitely prove that the £5 shake was reaching.
Pros: The variety, The smokey burger, The value
Cons: The cauliflower wing was bland, The milkshake was thin

The food here is very reasonably priced and is great! I never had coronation chicken, so was glad to be able to try it. We also got the not fish and chips and the not chicken nuggets for the kids. Everyone loved their food. Just be careful because not everything here is vegan.

Well worth a visit! - Edit
We had a lovely lunch at Garden of Eden. The only difficulty was what to choose as their vegan menu was very impressive. Their smoothies were freshly made to order and the hot food was served very quickly. The staff were all very friendly and they kindly gave us a complementary dessert from their wide selection of vegan cakes. It was a perfect start to our day trip to Windsor and will not hesitate to return again when the opportunity arises. Thank you.

So happy to find this place on our day trip to Windsor! The menu is massive and it was so hard to choose what to have. They offer a mixture of healthy wholefood style meals as well as fast food style dishes like burgers and pizza. Everything we ordered was very generously portioned and delicious.
Read moreMake sure to mention if you are vegan as not everything on the menu is (some items contain dairy). The staff are so friendly and welcoming. They really made sure to look after us.
This place is also great for small kids. They have a little gated play area for pre-school aged kids so it's a great place to catch up with friends while the little ones are entertained.
I'm looking forward to returning to Windsor to try more items from the menu!
Pros: Kid friendly, Friendly staff, Big portions
Cons: Not fully vegan
