Beautiful vegan food - Edit
Lots of options here and the food is always great. Most of my family events happen here and the employees are always kind. The Valentine’s Day special is an awesome event - me and my mom attended one and we had a fantastic time. Very cool atmosphere for family, friends, or dates. A must try that will become a staple!

Delicious and unique - Edit
Went here twice recently and came away satisfied both times. Not everything here is vegan (unfortunately) but I believe all of it has a vegan substitute.
Read moreThe Korean tacos are incredible and unique, despite being quite messy.
The vegan version of the BBQ burger was very tasty. It suffers from the same problem as so many other vegan burgers, though. It's so lubricated with vegan cheese and sauce that biting into it ejects the filling all over your hands, plate, and possibly your lap.

Always worth the trip - Edit
My whole family and I love this place!! It's a 40 minute drive from my parents' house and worth it every time I'm in town. Everything I've tried has been delicious but I especially love the Korean tacos. The big chunk of tempeh in each one is so satisfying and the flavor combination is unique in the best way; I haven't had anything like it elsewhere. For appetizers, I highly recommend the chimichurri brussels sprouts and the sriracha buffalo cauliflower. The sauces that come with both are amazing too.

Delicious & impressed - Edit
Finally got some dishes for a late lunch & glad we finally made the trip! We got the risotto cakes, potato pizza & sriracha Buffalo cauliflower. Be sure to double check in with serve to verify you’re offering the vegan option as they are vegetarian/vegan. Loved the menu, very different options then you’re typical vegan joint which is nice, love having more options!

Delicious foods, just be conscious of the dairy and sugar in some dishes - Edit
I love the stir fry dishes, but I order without the sauce, just tamari, because the sauce contains refined sugar and Im super particular and health conscious, but they are very accomodating!

PHENOMENAL VEGAN FOOD!! - Edit
Soooooo gooooood!!!! First of all, such a cute spot with cool lighting and a great ambiance. We tried the nachos, the vegan Reuben, the vegan mac, and the vegan potato pizza just to get a smattering of everything, and it was all fantastic!! The nachos came with vegan sour cream and they were MASSIVE. The Reuben was made with seitan, so it had more of a pastrami vibe—delicious. Even the side salad had an amazing dressing. The vegan mac was pretty good, but it could have done with a bit more seasoning. The vegan potato pizza had the perfect chewy crust with a delicious cashew cream sauce and perfectly soft potato slices topped with a yummy green sauce. PHENOMENAL!! Would come back again and again for this elevated vegan cuisine.

Yum, yum and YUM! - Edit
You can pretty much eat anything here and not be disappointed. The Rueben, the BLT, the burrito, the street tacos, I've tried almost all of it and it is all FANTASTIC! The best thing ever though, is the risotto balls. No matter what else you order, get those apps and you will not be disappointed!

My go-to takeout - Edit
Garden Grille is my favorite comfy spot to grab a meal at the end of the week. I meal prep my own seitan and eat it through out the week, but they prepare it in so many delicious ways - the pastrami, their pizza, chipotle. And of course, a nice variety outside of that.

Delicious vegetarian/vegan food - Edit
This is a vegetarian restaurant and everything is easily made vegan. They have vegan cheese, sour cream, and most of their sauces/mayos are vegan too. The risotto cakes were super yummy, as was the barbecue tempeh and fried plantain. The butternut squash quesadilla with vegan cheese was so good! The nachos were incredible! Probably best nachos ever, and all vegan with sour cream and cheese!

Staple PVD eatery - Edit
My wife and I have been going to Garden Grille for years and have almost always had a good experience. The nachos, chipotle seitan, Korean tacos, Reuben and quesadillas are all incredible. However, they recently have been changing their menu to have plain veggie dishes as specials which isn’t as appealing or fun.

the Providence area’s oldest all-veg and natural foods restaurant, and for good reason - Edit
As a frequent visitor to Providence, I eaten here more than twenty times. When I visit, I eat at either Garden Grille or, when I seek a more intimate atmosphere to share with my dinner companion, at Veggie Fun. (I long ago crossed off of my list The Grange for being too greasy and too boozey, crossed off Like No Udder for being merely an ice cream parlor, and recently crossed off By Chloe for being but a glorified snack bar aimed at the undergrad college crowd.)
Read moreI prefer Garden Grille over Veggie Fun because GG offers a greater variety of more nutritionally wholesome foods compared to Veggie Fun’s numerous highly processed mock meats that only make a mockery of veganism. Thus, even as a vegan, I find more wholesome vegan entrées from which to choose at all-vegetarian GG than at all-vegan VF. GG’s online menu may seem short, but that does not take into account its daily specials.
As the Providence area’s oldest all-veg and natural foods restaurant, Garden Grille is a keeper. Here’s a brief history. A Providence restaurant that preceded it was Amara’s, which closed 34 years ago, but Amara’s was never vegetarian, just oriented toward natural foods. Around 31 years ago, an all-vegan café briefly opened on Wickenden St a block away from Amara’s former site, but that lasted barely a year. Then there was Garden Grille’s direct predecessor, Golden Sheaf, also on Wickenden, which was a health food store with a busy café, but the store closed around 29 years ago. Fortunately for us vegheads, Garden Grille has endured for 24 years, and is here to stay.
Pros: wholesome natural foods
Cons: just beyond the Providence city limits

Delicious - Edit
Really delicious food in a nice setting. Some outside seating as well that was really enjoyable on a nice day. Cocktails served all day (and in tiki cups)! A varying menu with many vegan options. Our food was quick and delicious and the servers were a delight. Seemed very popular around lunch time when we were there as well.
