filling Sunday brunch - Edit
Great service, friendly staff and atmosphere. Only negative comment was I didn't know they were serving lunch and I wish I had ordered off the lunch menu. Although my Italian scramble was amazing! Will be coming back :)

Everything is vegan - Edit
They were packed when we got there, but they still helped us very quickly and the service was great. All of their options are vegan and everything we had was delicious. This is a must-visit spot for vegan visitors to Woodstock.

Garden patio is the vibe - Edit
Probably not a “true” 5-star experience, but I’m giving it five stars for a few reasons. After a nice hike in the mountains, we stopped in for a bite and a drink and it really hit the spot.
Read moreWe ordered the cauliflower tacos, the TLT, and the black bean quesadilla appetizer. My friend and I split the tacos and the TLT. The tacos were yummy and I’m glad I tried them. I was initially skeptical about the TLT because the tempeh didn’t look very seasoned or marinated, but it ended up being perfect—sliced super thin, really crispy, and the bread was tasty. I also loved the side salad dressing. Other reviews mentioned the salad being drenched in dressing; it was on the heavier side, but I enjoyed it (I’m someone who likes a lot of dressing).
The quesadilla appetizer was just okay and I wouldn’t order it again. It needed more cheese and beans and less spinach. We took the rest to go and at home I added Violife shreds and baked it for 5 minutes, and it tasted much better. I’m not a fan of Daiya, so my only suggestion for Garden Cafe would be to upgrade to a better vegan cheese.
The double IPA was delicious, and I really, really loved the hot cider on a cold fall day. Overall, despite a couple of minor misses, I enjoyed my visit and will definitely return the next time I’m in Woodstock.
Pros: Beautiful garden patio, Woodstock vibe
Cons: Service okay

SCRUMPTIOUS!!!! - Edit
We got married in Woodstock and ate here like four times during our stay! The food is phenomenal and everyone was so sweet and friendly and they even gave us complimentary desserts to celebrate 🥹 Having a fully plant-based restaurant nearby was crucial for us, and we were so stoked that Garden Cafe was not only that but also so delicious and scrumptious and just all the good words in the dictionary.

I would eat here every day - Edit
I had the cauliflower steak, with greens and mashed potatoes. I wasn’t expecting it to be as good as it was. The cauliflower was tender and fresh. The seasoning was just right… and this was take-out!

We loved our meal at the garden cafe in Woodstock! The outdoor seating area was lovely (they had candles in lanterns at night) and the food was delicious. Portion sizes were perfect for the price and they had a daily list of specials. Fresh ingredients and kind staff!

Best vegan taco I’ve ever had - Edit
We are at garden Cafe today and were very pleased with how wonderful the staff and the food were. The mushroom taco which was a special on the menu was hands down the most delicious vegan taco I have ever had. We also had the enchiladas which were also unique and delicious. Can’t wait to come back and enjoy the food again.

Best vegan restaurant in the Hudson valley - Edit
We looooooooooooooooooove Garden Cafe!! By “we” I mean every person I’ve ever taken there. Their menu is extensive, creative, and the food is always on point. My favorite dishes are the vegetable lasagna and cauliflower steak special. The stuffed mushrooms are my fav go to appetizer. Fav dessert is the strawberry shortcake — it’s unreal!! And seasonal, so def try it if you’re there in the warmer months!

Go here! - Edit
This place is absolutely delicious! I don't think there was a single thing I tried I didn't like. Not unreasonably priced and the place itself was adorable inside and roomy. I expect a little hole in the wall cafe but it was actually quite spacious and felt like one of those kinda rustic fancy bistros. We had yhe hummus, brie, Buffalo tofu wing, Buffalo cauliflower tacos, lasagna, enchiladas, brownie a la mode, apple crisp, Gelato and cashew cheesecake. Ugh so so good! Will definitely be back!

Amazing Meal! - Edit
Had an amazing lunch, we each got something different and everybody loved their food. We shared the tofu satay appetizer, then had the macro meal, burrito, lentil loaf special, and cauliflower steak special and all were excellent. My black coffee was a damn fine cup of coffee too - strong and flavorful. We had bread pudding for desert, which is something I'd never order, but it was awesome. Can't wait to visit Woodstock again and come back

Beautiful location, amazing food, great staff - Edit
Completely amazing. Staff members were attending even though I was dining by myself. I sat at a table in the corner by the window, and they brought over the large menu board for me to look at to order.
Read moreGot the cauliflower steak with mushroom gravy, mashed potatoes and sauteed greens. The steak has garlic aioli on top. Everything was fresh, well-seasoned. For dessert, got the tiramisu, which was abundant and not too sweet, though still better to split with someone or eat in more than one sitting.
Outdoor seating in the garden looks amazing in warmer weather!

100% Plant based - Edit
Was super excited to find an all-vegan restaurant, especially in this region! Everything on the menu sounded great but decided on lentil loaf with mashed potatoes and gravy plus peppercorn crusted tofu with polenta and green beans. Both entrees also came with sautéed kale. Additionally got tiramisu for dessert! Overall wasn’t blown away and a little pricey in my opinion but wholeheartedly support this fully vegan establishment. Most items are also gluten-free and are clearly labeled.

Stunning Vegan - Edit
First time here. Cute town with lots of shops. Found parking on the streets, but I can imagine that when it’s primetime season it would be difficult to find parking. This location had several seating options if you wanted to in and of course you could always pick up to dine out. It was a Wednesday afternoon and it was packed. Very friendly service. Extensive menu.one option more delicious than the other. Nice size dessert menu. Ice cream and smoothies also available.
Read moreI started with the chickpeas tomato soup, which also comes with a piece of focaccia bread. Tasting and a good size for a cup. Moved onto their Portobello Panini. Flavorful and a good serving size. Also comes with a side salad. Had their carrot cake, which was in my opinion delicious. I had a difficult time choosing things because everything looked so good especially looking around the restaurant and seeing what everyone was eating. Very much looking forward to coming back here again. The one thing that I will say that was a little bit of a negative is that in my opinion it’s a little bit on the pricey side, but that is subjective. For my pockets, it was a little on the pricey side..
Pros: Friendly, Warm and inviting , Tasty food and good serving size
Cons: A little pricey

Very Very Good - Edit
Food was exceptionally good. Menu was extensive but also they had specials.
Read moreStarted with tofu satay and stuffed mushrooms. My entree was the Veggie Lasagna with no noodles. Yeah good!!
Finished with the pecan pie which I thoroughly enjoyed. To note my brother had the brownie a la mode which was massive and sinful. Be sure to order that if it’s on the specials.
Nice little restaurant along the shopping area. Don’t miss it.

Delightful lunch spot - Edit
Garden Cafe was our favorite stop on our little vacay up north. We stopped for lunch and to charge our car nearby before a hike at overlook mountain. Highly recommend checking out this cafe - it has delicious sandwiches, burgers, bowls and desserts. We also got hot chocolate (so good) and tea. Be sure to take a look at their specials! We also got the cashew brie which came with a lovely rosemary blackberry compote and fresh toasted baguette which was possibly my favorite. The carrot cake was super yummy too with praline pecans (& it’s gluten free!)
