The only thing that is up for debate with regard to this restaurant is the pronunciation of its name. Whether you attest that it should rhyme with 'bridge' or 'barge' (my northern sensibility correctly favours the former), what isn’t in question is the brilliance of its output. An eclectic array of fine foods filled every corner of the chasmic space, ensuring that even the most voracious eaters (me) would be adequately sated, and then some.
It really was a case of being spoilt for choice here. From the exceptional Thai yellow curry to the sinfully delicious tempura fries, and from the phenomenal focaccias to the sweet satisfaction of the fruit shooters, every dish was prepared to an impeccable standard. A special mention has to go to the vegan mosaic. A dish as cryptic in its make-up as it was in its name – I have very little idea what it actually consisted of, but my word was it tasty!
Due to the sheer brilliance of nigh-on everything that I sampled, along with a wonderful atmosphere and staff to match, there is practically nothing with which I could find fault. The only minor drawback for me was the adjacency to the F1 racetrack. For those who are so inclined towards such things, I am sure this would only serve as another boon, but my personal preference isn’t for the thundering noise of gas-guzzling rockets tearing pointlessly around a circuit. That said, the days' uncouth motorised beasts only marred my post-meal drink on the balcony and not the meal itself, so I’m more than happy to let this slide.
