GAO Dumplings offers an authentic and delightful dining experience. The dumplings are flavorful and well-prepared, showcasing traditional recipes with a modern twist. The restaurant's ambiance is inviting, with friendly staff and a cozy atmosphere. While the menu is focused on dumplings, the variety of fillings and cooking styles ensures there's something for everyone. Overall, GAO Dumplings earns four stars for its delicious food and enjoyable dining atmosphere.

Visited a site in Oster Farimagsgade, by the art gallery. Tried all the vegan dumplings options, which included spinach steamed dumplings, mushroom grilled dumplings and beyond beef kimchi dumplings. All were delicious

Delicious dumplings and small sides - Edit
We ordered all of the vegan dumplings and also tried the double fried tofu as well as the bok choy. Everything was delicious. One portion of dumplings does not equal a whole meal, so be sure to order at least two portions of dumplings.

Simpel und yammi - Edit
Viele vegane Optionen.

Been there several times - very tasty and great for company - Edit
There are currently two GAO restaurants in Copenhagen (also one in The area of Vesterbro). This one has most vegan dishes available. Try the soup as a starter and try to order dishes to share, if you are with company.

Such a good spot - Edit
Visited Gao 4 times during our weeklong trip to Copenhagen. Consistent food with a great atmosphere.
Read moreHighly recommend the mushroom dumplings, but all the vegan options are amazing.
Note: The cold noodles with roasted nut sauce are vegan if requested without the fish sauce.
Would give 5 stars if I could, but not valid for non-vegan restaurants.

Cheap, simple, casual - Edit
Great place if you are looking for a casual place and don't mind sitting close to other customers. Dumplings are good, a little too much 'dough'(I don't know if that is the correct word), and they could have been fried longer for a bit more crispyness and colour. Fried silken tofu is delicious!

Few vegan options - Edit
There are two vegan dumplings options( mushroom and spinach). Both tastes great. There’s also fried silken tofu which is really, really great. Definitely my recommendation. I guess there are also salads as an option which I unfortunately did not have.

I'm a big fan! - Edit
If possible I would rate GAO with 5 stars. The food is tasty and the ingredients are fresh. The staffs are kind and the location is perfect if you want to feel the atmosphere of Copenhagen and enjoy a good meal and a cold beer in the busy cosy street. It's good to stay and for take away. Just try it!

Delicious vegan options including soup, noodles, fried tofu, cucumber salads and 3 different kinds of dumpling. Choose between steamed or fried. Really nice atmosphere. It feels like your in a street food eatery in Hong Kong. Tasty and cheap!

Super tasty! - Edit
As a Chinese, and a big dumpling-fan, I really like their mushrooms dumplings! And the fried tofu is really good too! The only thing I wish to improve, is either lower the price or make each portion bigger, when I spend 100-120 kr. I expect myself to feel full.

Hit the spot! - Edit
We love dumplings, and these were pretty good. There's only four to choose from, two of which are vegan. Most of the sides are also vegan(the cold noodles usually have fish sauce, but the server offered it without out it so that we could get the special). The noodles were great, the cucumber salad was pretty spicy(!), and the bok choi was as expected. We also tried the tofu and it was really good. Sadly the soup wasn't vegan because they put egg in the broth and couldn't make it without. Service was also really quick, and the guy working there was pretty friendly and wanted to make sure that we enjoyed everything.

Delicious dumplings and tasty tofu - Edit
We visited here specifically for vegan dumplings and we were not disappointed, as they were absolutely delicious. You can choose either mushroom or spinach filling but we ordered the mushroom dumplings (6 pieces) to share. We also ordered some deep fried tofu with chilli mayo to share, which was very tasty and had a nice 'kick' to it. In total we spent exactly kr100, which is inexpensive in my opinion and I would definitely recommend visiting. There are also some great bars and other vegan/veggie places nearby.
