The menu has tons of marked vegan options, and the service was great. The puffy bread could easily be addicting. I had the Aloo Motor Gobi which was rich and flavorful, and the veggies were cooked well. I like that they bring the dishes out with lids for the containers so the food stays warm while you eat. Staff regularly walked by to check on things and fill up our water glasses.
Our server said the faluda dessert is vegan even though it isn’t marked as such, but we didn’t try it and I didn’t ask additional questions.
I absolutely love Gandhi Mahal. I first tried their food when some was donated to the Occupy Minneapolis' kitchen back in fall of 2011, where I was working on the media team. Every time I've since gone, the veg options have been amazing every time. Perfect textures and seasoning, great service and atmosphere.
They also donate to charitable causes and projects around the cities and are generally a stand-up small business! All-around A+.
The server was very helpful in identifying vegan options. The food was hot fresh and healthy but completely lacking in flavor. I've never had bland Indian food. It was very odd. I was with a large group of vegans who ordered several different dishes and the consensus was the same.

Miss your delicious food - Edit
Haven't forgotten the wonderful food of Gandhi Mahal. Amply spiced, and served by the greatest staff. I miss your naan.
