Excellent

Very friendly , lots of vegan options. They speak very good English and took their time to explain all the vegan options , cold or hot. We had the 8option cold platter and then went back for 3 hot options. Overall it was very affordable. 29 euros with a beer and a mineral water. We recommend it.

Quick and cheap Food

There was quite a lot of vegetarian options for a very reasonable price. The food was good, although pre-cooked and just heated up. Staff was friendly and willing to answer all our questions. You can try a lot by ordering “half” dishes. Desert was delicious.

Pros: Meal selection , Price, Staff

Cons: Pre-cooked, No tea :(

Good traditional community style Turkish food.

I thoroughly enjoyed the selection of food. In particular the mezze style dishes where I got to choose eight different options to create an amazing mezze board that I had for myself. Whilst there was no labels, the waiter spoke excellent English and was happy to describe everything. Over half the starters and mains were vegan. Food tasted fresh and full of flavour.

Pros: The rich variety of food., The great service., The mix of flavours and freshness of food.

Cons: Slightly pricey food (cheaper than nearby places), Slightly pricey wine.

Çok lezzetli ama gereksiz pahalı

4 meze ve 1 sodaya 190tl talep ederek Nişantaşı, Arnavutköy skalasının üzerinde bir çizgi çizmişler. Bereket olsun😄

Great meal

They have a good selection of pre-cooked dishes and you can choose which ones and how much of each you’d like. Really good eggplant dish and vegetable rice.

Friendly + home made taste

Several of the warm dishes are vegetarian or vegan. Many of the cold dishes are vegan. In fact, we had a mixed platter of 8’vegan dishes. Staff were friendly and spoke English. Some of the freshest, most tasty mezze we had on the European side.

Pros: Many vegan options, Friendly helpful English speaking staff, Cute atmosphere+ clean toilet!

Cons: Not entirely vegan

It’s ok

There are some pre prepared dishes so you have to choose 1 or 3 plate of each. You can’t mix it. The food was good but nothing is labeled and you don’t know what contains the dishes. You have to ask, the staff talk English but isn’t very friendly. The outside is nice but it was too hot when we were there.

Lots of choices for vegans

A great selection of vegetable stews and cold appetizers to choose from here. Everything we tried was full of flavor with an interesting combination of ingredients too. Some examples of this include celeriac, apple and dill stew, bulgar and fig salad, sour cherry and cinnamon dolmas and tomato and peanut couscous salad. The price is great too -- a big plate of 8 choices is 40 lira! Note: the kitchen isn't open for breakfast and they'll recommend the other Galata Kitchen on the same street. I went there and they don't really cater for vegans at all (they said there was one thing that could make vegan, although there was some confusion about it) so don't bother.

The best vegan Turkish kitchen

I visited a lot of vegan places in Istanbul but this is my favorite one eventhough they are not completely vegan.
I love that they manage to be both enough traditional and modern. Every time after visiting them I'm coming to stuff and ask how they do it. And they always share the recipe.
And prices are good. Place is just near Galata tower but so quiet and peaceful.

Really Awesome Traditional Food

This place is really cool. Amazing vibe and really delicious traditional food. Just tell them you’re vegan and they can tell you exactly what you have to choose from. Lots of choices and all delicious and at a good price. I wish I had come here sooner as this was probably our best meal in Istanbul. Buzzy traditional food joint. Love it, go just go!!!

I’d give five stars if the system allowed it.

I’ve been here many times and the food is always fresh and super tasty with 10/11 veg options.

Also important is very nice staff.

Pros: lovely staff. lots of options.

Cons: none.

Great selection of vegan dishes

This restaurant had a really good selection of vegan dishes for both starter and mains.

The staff seemed really knowledgeable about what was vegan and what had allergens.

I had a mixed starter plate and asked the server to pick a selection of what he recommended, it was absolutely delicious and so varied in flavours!

I would highly recommend you go here for naturally vegan traditional Turkish food.

Pros: Good selection, Knowledgeable staff, Reasonably priced

Traditional Turkish Food (which good chunk of it happens to be Vegan)

As my review title indicates they serve traditional Turkish food (appetisers and entrées) and a good portion of these are vegan (specially the appetisers/mezze). The food is nice, the service is friendly and the prices are very reasonable considering that it’s located in one of the most touristic areas in Istanbul.

Careful to go the the right galata kitchen...

We were checking out Galata kitchen around 11 am today and they said to only open after 12, but they recommended going to the “other” galata kitchen just 50 m down the street. So we did, but it didnt turn out as a vegan food party.
They have a vegan dish on the menu (in turkish) but the 2 guys working there didnt really know what to do. They made a “vegetable saute” which was a few pieces of potato with some carrot, and there were 5 cherry tomatoes on the side...
good thing was that when i asked for more they did make it, without charging extra. So only in case of emergency go and eat here.

Delicious food, friendly staff

Lots of veggie and vegan options, also serving some meat dishes. Food was great - best we had in Istanbul. Staff are very friendly with good English. Highly recommended and would give 5 stars but not fully veggie/vegan.

I couldn’t recommend this place enough!

This place to me deserves 5* (but the website won’t let me give 5* as it’s not 100% vegan). Most of the food available is indeed vegan, and the offer is huge! On top of that there are few vegetarian options and apparently also meat options (but I didn’t see any meat in the buffet).
The food is amazing, very healthy but still tasty, big portions and super friendly staff that can speak perfectly English.
So far, the best food I’ve had in Istanbul!

Pros: Great choice, Menu changes every day, Super friendly staff

Nice restaurant, not expensive

We were in Istanbul for vacation, we ate there in the evening. The food was good and the service was very friendly . Their english was very good. It's a buffet with cold starters (that day all vegetarian) And main dishes (mostly vegetarian). We shared a starter (we could chose 6 of the many starters they had) and each had 2 half main-courses and we had to much food. We were able to try a lot of things. And it was not expensive at all.

Pros: Good food , Friendly, english speaking staff, Not expensive

Cons: There were only a few tables outside

Friendly People, Decent Food

The staff (owner?) is very friendly and helpful. I got one of the Turkish pancakes made vegan and my boyfriend had a vegetarian one. He really liked his with the cheese; mine without cheese was (understandably) kinda dry but still tasty. Really enjoyed the coffee, tea, and happy cat who sat on our laps.
