Sat at the bar and staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about their menu and what was vegan or not

Vegan okonomiyaki! - Edit
Okonomiyaki is one of my favorite foods, and Gaijin has been one of my favorite restaurants in Chicago, so now that I'm vegan, I was so excited to find out they have vegan options! They have 2 okonomiyakis that can be made vegan – tofu and veggie – a few appetizers, and mochi donuts. I got the tofu okonomiyaki, and it was delicious! It was savory and packed with flavor. I also got the bok choy which has scallions and sesame oil, which was great too.
