Great food with a lovely owner - Edit
This is a wonderful new establishment which serves menus that changes regularly. I had the noodles with lemongrass mock chicken. Fyn - the ever smiling positive owner customised it to be spicy to my liking. She also gave me samples before I ordered my food. The dessert - Tiramisu vegan balls was awesome. This is a hidden gem of an establishment with a big heart. Great work Fyn. All the very best

Very WELCOMING and Great Service! - Edit
I'd echo the comments of others here to state that the friendly reception from the owner/chef that one receives here is the best part of the experience.
We've been here twice, and had a variety of rolls with different flavoured tofu inside. While all are tasty, they aren't "wow." The price to value ratio is skewed too: the cost of the roll is rather high given the portion size and lack of any side dish. When you buy the combo, you can have a drink and soup or other side included, but even then, one just felt adequate with the food.
However, if you are looking for a vegan/ vegetarian experience in downtown Vancouver, this is your best option.
Take out is probably a good way to go as well, since you'll then be able to go walk on Robson or go to Stanley Park with your meal.
Pros: Friendly, Quick service, Central location
Cons: Not memorable for food's flavour, More expensive than expected

Great for a quick meal - Edit
I recently went to Fynfood for a quick meal with my non vegan dad and was surprised that it was so small, however, I quickly noticed that people go there mostly for takeouts.
The menu is really small and seems to change often. We got a combo each: one was the Japanese salad and noodles and tofu, the other one the noodles and vegan meat substitute and raspberry cheesecake. The salad was very fresh and flavourful, we both really enjoyed it. The noodles were made of mung beans and were flavoured with a veggie broth and it was really tasty. We both thoroughly enjoyed them, my dad enjoyed the sauteed tofu and my substitute made of mushroom was freakishly authentic looking... The cheesecake made by a third party vegan bakery in town was excellent as well. All in all, it was a great meal in a very relaxed restaurant that offers vegan Asian food. The owner was super friendly, vegan and knowledgeable about gluten free options, curious about so many things and made the meal extra special. On top of that, prices are very reasonable. What's not to love? I will definitely be back!
Pros: Great experience, Tasty food, Fast service
Cons: A bit small

Couldn't have enjoyed it more - Edit
First, the food is a 3-4/5. It's good, but nothing out of this world depending on what you get.
What makes this place 5/5 is the young lady they had working there when we stopped by. She took this from a pleasant quick lunch, to one of the best stops on our trip just based on how friendly and helpful she was.
We had a soup (ok), a wrap (ok), some lemonade (good), a tiny cheesecake (good), and a burger that she made us to hit their "three for 11" special (was ok).
She was so friendly when we arrived, and willing to chat when we wanted, left us alone when we ate/etc. After our meal we got to talking about some of the hilarious stories we've both had through travel and finding food. Afterwards she wrote down three other recommendations in Vancouver she recommended if we were in other areas of the city.
Was just a great visit
Pros: Friendliest person we met on the trip, Low prices, Great location near Stanley Park
Cons: Food was mostly "ok"

Little restaurant, big welcome - Edit
I've been a few times at fynfood, I was always greeted by a super warm welcome and by great enthusiasm.
The food feels homemade, which is one of the things I enjoy the most. You don't get a single lettuce leaf in your burger, you get a burger packed with veggies.
I have quite a few favourites, mainly the wraps, the red velvet cake, the baked potato and most recently the vegan beef stew, omg was that beef stew worth it!
It's a new restaurant as of early 2015, so the menu is slowly expanding, its always great to see new things popup on the menu.
Pros: Awesome vegan beef stew!, Great combo prices, Great desserts
