Great traditional place with lovely vegan options - Edit
What a find! Loved to see the thoughtful menu with vegan options. The place is a Sligo-must with care in every dish. Had the Veggie Curry and the Jollof Rice with Tofu. The Rice paired really well with their Pineapple Coriander salsa. Everything was well seasoned and balanced, I went not knowing what to expect and left stuffed and happy.

A Memorable Vegan Meal in Sligo - Edit
My wife and I had the pleasure of dining at Funké - Afro Caribbean Restaurant during our trip to Ireland in May, and it ended up being one of our favorite meals of the entire trip.
Read moreAs vegans, we’re always hopeful (but not always lucky) when it comes to finding great plant-based options while traveling. Funké exceeded our expectations. The Vegetable Curry was rich and deeply flavorful, and the Jollof Rice with Tofu was perfectly spiced and satisfying. You could tell a lot of care went into each dish.
What made the experience even more special was the warm welcome we received from Chef Funké. She made us feel right at home, and her passion for the food and the people she serves really came through.
If you're in or near Sligo and looking for a place with thoughtful vegan options and a genuinely welcoming atmosphere, Funké is absolutely worth a visit.

Delicious - Edit
Had the vegan jollof rice with tofu and it was delicious. There are a few vegan options on the menu which are clearly marked and staff are well versed in veganism.

Delicious new restaurant in Sligo - Edit
Food was amazing, I went soon after they were open and some items were sold out/unavailable. I loved the fried plantains!
