This place is very good

Such a bright spot on the trip to the farmers market! Everything I have tried from the sandwiches to the bowls to the jerky has been impeccable. All packed with great flavor, breading, and seasoning.

Apparently they are working on having a permanent store front but in the mean time I will continue to enjoy their farmers market delectable meals.

Vegan Jerky Available on Alameda Island

Super stoked to try it - maybe I no longer like jerky? Purchased on my behalf, got the Mushroom Jerky in Sesame Ginger, didn’t like it at all. Maybe it was the wrong flavor for me, kinda sweet with an odd aftertaste. For me personally, wouldn’t recommend. I’d be open to trying their hot foods or other jerky flavors, just not the Sesame Ginger again.

Since it’s fully vegan I’d try again, rating subject to change.

Did Not Like Sesame Ginger Flavor at All, It was Sweet - Odd Aftertaste… No Me Gusto, I’d Try Other Flavors Though and Give Them Another Chancee at Fungi Foods in Oakland

Worth the hype

We’ve been wanting to go here for awhile, and thrilled to say that it did not disappoint! We got to meet the owner, Jake, who was incredible sweet and helpful in guiding our order: KFV bowl with gravy, side of mac, and the gochujang sandwich. Couldn’t be happier with what we got! The food was incredible flavorful, the fried mushrooms in the KFV bowl had excellent texture without feeling greasy or oily, and the cornbread with the apple butter was such an added bonus. We already can’t wait to go back!
