For Vegans, Breakfast and lunch get left behind or stripped down to basics; We get avocado toast or the occasional tofu scramble. Frutas Prohibidas has decided to provide something more and provide it at an extremely high level.
Read moreThe Eggs Benedict (no matter the style you choose) is a marvel of vegan ingenuity. I was stunned by the texture of the outside. I was stunned again when I cut through it to find the gooey yoke. I've never had anything like it in my life. Paired with the hollandaise sauce, truffle pearls, and parmesan cheese, It becomes the perfectly concocted dish.
We also ordered two drinks: the Red velvet latte (Beet and chocolate) and the blue latte (Spirulina). The red velvet latte has a delicate taste, but the Spirulina was wonderfully sweet and full of flavor.
The sleek, modern decor is comforting and cool. Get there early because the place fills up quickly, watching as multiple groups were turned away within the first half an hour of opening. You will not be disappointed.

They have the best vegan egg we’ve ever tried. It is really incredible. Very good quality in all their products. Their cakes and smoothies are also delicious. Definitely a must in Madrid. Go for the eggs dishes without hesitation, you won’t regret it!!

Teníamos muchas expectativas sobre este restaurante ya que las fotos de las redes sociales son espectaculares. La realidad es que te encontraras con un restaurante muy pequeño, abarrotado de gente y al no poder reservar tuvimos que esperar un rato para entrar. Una vez dentro nos asignaron en la barra contra la pared, algo que entenderíamos si el resto del local esta lleno, pero había una mesa normal libre y no nos querían dejar cambiar (finalmente después de insistir un par de veces lo conseguimos). Las hamburguesas están buenas pero como en cualquier otro vegano, nada del otro mundo, lo realmente bueno son sus huevos, si vais pedir eso sin duda alguna, están logradísimos.

Excellent food, so tasty and colourfull. Can't understand why it took me so long to get to know this restaurant. Lots of choices, a good bunch of them are healthier ones (breakfast and lunch bows) but most of them are scrumptious burgers and other dishes. Really fairly priced too, only important con is the tables are kind of small and there are too many of them for that room, so it's a bit unconfortable for both the customers and the staff.

Fuimos buscando tomar un café y postres. La estética está muy bien cuidada. Tiene varios postres, bowls diferentes y cafés. Mirando imágenes nos decidimos por su tarta de queso (en las fotos parecía que el contenido era bastante cremoso, simulando las de queso no vegano). Cuando nos la trajeron, era una tarta de queso normal sin esa cremosidad de la foto. Estaba buena pero nos esperábamos otra cosa.

Read moreI got their “donkey burrito” which was a burrito with rice/beans/seitan/queso/guac/salsa. It has a bit of a weird taste, especially the seitan—it might have been the marinade they used but I wasn’t a huge fan. I ended up only eating about 2/3 of the burrito then didn’t finish the rest of it since I was feeling ambivalent about it.
As an FYI: I ordered takeaway on their website, and it said it would be ready an hour later but I went by about 30 mins after ordering and it was ready!
