Tasty vegan fastfood - Edit
Everything we’ve got here (burgers, salad, dessert) tasted and looked great. There was a lot seats available despite quite a few customers eating at the tables. The dinner was cheap and it has been nice to learn that they recycle all the utensils and packaging.

Whenever I'm in the central Linz I go there for a burger. I love the taste and the people there are really nice. Never hat a bad experience. Oh and everything that looks like plastic is sustainable and made of corn - so they also take care of the environment which is also a big plus!

I'm not super crazy of fast food but this is until now one of the few if not the only one vegan places in Linz, so I gave a try. Took a giant burger, and a dessert. Nice portions, nice taste. I will come back a try some more meals.

This place really improved in the last couple of months. I really eat there a lot, my favourites are the Schnitzlinger, Döner and Döner wrap.
Read moreBig portions, and you get a burger, drink and side dish for about 10 Euro. Most of it is organic and the cups and everything else is compostable. The food is always fresh, so you won't get "old" fries or an "old" burger.
Nice owner and staff, the only downside are their opening hours. They are closed on Sunday and Monday, the rest of the week they are open only until 7 pm.

I've been eating at the "Front Food" a couple of times and while I have to say that I was disappointed of the food in the beginning when the place opened, the burgers and side dishes really improved. Quite good, reasonably-priced burgers. I really like the Pirate Burger - don't know if the others improved as well. Too bad the restaurant is only open until 7pm.

I appreciate it a lot that FrontFood is a total vegan restaurant. Also you have to take in to account that it is a fast food restaurant. Therefore the atmosphere is rather cold and not very inviting. The food is OK but not really outstanding. Perfect if you would like to eat something quick.

FrontFood is the first vegan-only (fast food franchise style) restaurant in Linz. Prices for the burgers range from 2,70 EUR to about 5 EUR, so you have to plenty options to choose from. As a side you can order wedges or fries (both about 3 EUR) and you'll also be able to get some muffins or cake as a dessert.
Read moreThe burgers are quite small (McDeath style, but matching to the prices) and good. Sometimes the sauces tend to be a bit stale and could need some stronger seasoning (speaking for my palate here though) - it seems to depend on the sauce you order. Wedges and fries are great, and you should definately go for the cupcakes as dessert!
It is outstanding that about 95% of the offering is organic (except the "Schnitzlinger" and the "Filetburger" which come with a non-organic, but GMO free TVP soy patty) AND that even the dish/cutlery/packaging is 100% compostable as its made out of corn starch.
The service is friendly, if there's time they'll even bring you the meal to your table if you ask nicely. So don't forget about the tip ;)
FrontFood is situated in an historical building with thick walls and the interior is quite simplistic, but still a place where you can stay a while to chat.
Bonus: they also offer free wifi
Suggestion: I clearly would recommend the owner to get away from the franchise-style offerings and would convert the whole thing into a more personalized burger joint.

Front Food is great. The ideology of offering vegan bio products to a fair price is excellent. They have a wide range of vegan food - from burgers, bosners to cupcakes and other things. The people there are very friendly.

Traveling through, I visited this place for some fast dinner. I cannot recommend the Schnitzel-burger (whatever the name was), but the Bosner (sort of hot-dog) and the cupcake were really good. Portions could have been bigger, though

I was delighted to find that Linz now has a completely vegan eatery. Unfortunately, I did not at all like the taste of my "Big Chiiesy" (which was actually quite small, but OK for the price). There are so many good vegan burgers "out there", so I was hoping to find one of them at Front Food but was quite disappointed.
