Cozy place with very nice and friendly staff. Food is awesomely tasty, be sure to also try the cakes! If you can make it, check out the brunch on Sunday’s. Reservation recommended.

delicous salad to take away - Edit
I stopped there on my way to main station, ahead of a 5 hour ride home, so I asked for a salad to take away in my own boxes. I had the emil bowl and the very nice girl at the counter gave 3 different sauces extra in little boxes, so the salad was very fresh 2 hours later. I really enjoyed it, made my ride a lot better, thanks!

My husband and I just chose this place from google maps and based on the website photos. Neither of us read German and were presently surprised by the brunch buffet. Cost us about 32 euros but well worth it. Wide variety of sweet, savory, salads, and drinks. Definitely recommended and will definitely go back if we return to Hamburg.

Not a bad place for sure, but the ratio of what you pay for and what you get is a bit depressing. The service is not bad, not rude or anything, but its noticable they don't really care about you.

Froindlichst is a very, very cozy place far from the tourist spots in the center, but still very easy and quick to reach.
Read moreWe went for lunch and due to the dim lighting, it felt really intimate as if in somebody's home.
There are burgers and pizzas which are both really good. Portions are very big so we didn't manage to try any of the cakes afterwards, unfortunately. There is also vegan ice cream available!
Update: I went back here this month with a friend and her daughter and had the Hot Amigo Burger with fries and a hot chocolate. The burger was really good, and actually slightly spicy. Usually, when I order spicy dishes they're not really all that spicy in the end. The hot chocolate was probably the best hot chocolate I've ever had, and the fries were excellent. However, my friend had a salad (which she said was amazing), but she was asked if she wanted the honey dressing on the salad. It seems this place is not vegan after all.

We had lunch and the food was absolutely delicious, the best burrito I have ever had! Basil mayo was amazing!!! The other items in the menu looked very interesting and the buffet brunch must be delightful. Cheesecake was very good as well. The portions are big and the price is fair. The place is nice and cozy.

The place was very busy, even so we had to wait more than 40 minutes to eat and that is too much time.

Very good food even the fries were VERY salty. Für atmosphere is nice but the kitchen is in the middle of the room so the air is bad and smells like old fat.

The food is so good. Pizza, Burgers, Burritos, Ice Cream and homemade milkshakes! Sweet potatoe fries or normal fries are huge, to die for and only 3.50€-4.50€ ! The food isn't too expensive. Only things I personally don't like are the salads and the cakes... You can't have it all! :)

W-O-W. I would give them 10 stars if I could. We had so much fun there. The staff was so nice and smiley. The food was absolutely perfect. The sweet potato fries are to die for. I highly recommend this as a vegan.

Café und Brunch. Das ist das was wir bisher dort ausprobiert haben und meine Familie (nicht vegan) und ich waren begeistert!!! Das Essen war super lecker, der Service sehr nett und die Einrichtung gemütlich! Auch das sie radikal keine Tierischen Produkte verwenden, auch nicht für Nicht- Veganer finde ich gut, denn obwohl meine Eltern ihren Café lieber mit "normaler" Milch trinken, Essen ALLE vegan. Der Kuchen schmeckt sehr lecker, auch rohe Alternativen werden geboten und mein Favorit in punkto Getränken ist die Chocolate (gut, viel mehr habe ich noch nicht ausprobiert). Der Brunch hat uns auch überzeugt, denn obwohl die Wurst etwas erbärmlich aussah waren die anderen Sachen Top! Besonders zu empfehlen ist die "Leberwurst" und der "Schnittkäse" sowie der komplette Süßkram, aber ich denke man probiert sich sowieso durch alles durch.

Great burgers and brunch - Edit
We came here one night for dinner and had som really good burgers. The sweet potato fries were also delicious. However, the service was really slow and I don't know if they were understaffed or if they just weren't that organized. We waited an hour for our food, but at least they got our order right. The guy who brought out the drinks seemed to have no idea who had ordered what. We came back for brunch the next day and did not notice any slow service then, so maybe it was just a one time thing. We were very satisfied with the brunch. It was an extensive buffet with both hot and cold dishes, as well as sweet and savory things. An extra plus because the orange juice was included in the brunch. And I must add, that even though the staff was very busy, they were in a good mood and very nice and service-minded. I would definitely go back to this place the next time I'm in Hamburg.

Ich war zwei mal hier während meines dreitägigen Hamburgaufenthalts und bin begeistert! Der Service ist sehr freundlich, das Essen sieht fantastisch aus und schmeckt super fein (ich hatte den Bugs Bunny Burger) die Torten sind auch toll. Hübsche Einrichtung innen, schöne Terasse draussen. Ich komme gerne wieder mal.
