Food is good and has some diverse options(e.g. Ofenkäse), in comparison with other vegan restaurants in Hamburg. It is not so easy to get a reservation, because the place is really small, so be prepared in advance. As well, due to the size, it is really loud and difficult to maintain a conversation.

Because it is so crowded, I was expecting more regarding the quality of food, it seems to be more industrializad than homemade.
I would like to go again to see if the cons were an exception, and to try other meals, specially the Brunch.

Turned up without reservation and managed to get a table. Chose the BBQ burger which was nice. A bit too much salt on the sweet potato fries though. Fast and friendly service. Room is bright, but it seems that there is another room at the back which I haven’t seen.

Froindlichst is an delicious restaurant. It's pretty small, but that's fine if you reserve a table in advance through the online form. The menu is huge and has some really uncommon dishes.
Read moreThe music in the unlovely decorated room is loud. This in addition to the loud atmosphere due to the restaurant size makes converstations difficult.
We waited around half an hour for our pizzas which where delicious. Not mind blowing, but delicious.
The waitress who served us was pretty desinterested and barely said a word.
We will try the partner restaurant in Ottensen whether it's better.

Some busy waiter with an iPad told us it‘s full. A family heard this and offered us to sit with them, as they‘d be leaving soon. The waiter asked us to finish by a specific time, as he‘d need the table by then. He also then said, we won’t have to wait long, as kitchen isn’t busy right now, we decided to stay.... It took at least 20 mins for a waiter to come and take our order. Even most staff was just standing around and Mr. busy iPad kept running around with it. 45 mins after we‘ve ordered, we asked how long it would take to get our food? A waitress told us 4 mins. 20’mins later we got our food. My boyfriend ordered some pizza which was good but my burrito only tasted of „cheeze“ and some veg. The table wasn’t occupied again. The service was not acceptable. The music was very loud and metal/rock isn’t everyones taste

It was really crowded when we were there, but luckily got the last table - so maybe a reservation wouldn´t hurt, especially in the evening or on weekends. They have a big choice and everything is vegan. I had a pizza, my friend a burger, both where delicious and fresh. Portions were so big, that we had to take the cake home and I´m glad we did, the Snickers Cake is sooo good! Totally recommend this place.

Best Burger - Edit
This place is great. We had burger and a Bowl and damn, the Bowl was surprisingly big and tasted delicious. My husband was in love with his burger so there is nothing left to say. It was a little chaotic with the staff because the place was crowded but nothing we couldn't handle. We'll be back as soon as we visit Hamburg again.

Came here based on the good reviews and recommendations from others. We were hoping to catch the vegan brunch, but arrived at 15:00 on Sunday, when brunch was already over. Despite our slight disappointment we decided to just eat a la carte.
Read moreWe started off with a peanut butter chocolate milkshake which really wasn’t all that good (I’m used to the vegan milkshakes from Deer Mama in Amsterdam, which are the absolute best). Given that the waitress said the waiting time was 40 minutes, we also ordered some nachos, which were definitely tasty (loved the dips!) but much too cheesy. After about 1,5 hours we had a main course: my boyfriend ordered the chilli burger and I had a burrito, based on the excellent reviews. Unfortunately the nachos (and probably the milkshakes as well) were so filling that we both were too full for our main course. But I wasn’t that impressed with the food nonetheless. My burrito tasted more like a plain mushroom wrap (even though it should have had black beans, guacamole and beefless beef, none of which I tasted) and even though my bfs burger was good, it wasn’t much better than when we make Beyond Meat burgers at home. On top of that the service was very slow, although our waitress was lovely.
I’m sure this place has a lot to offer (sad we had to miss brunch) but overall it didn’t live up to the hype for me!

I tried the Beyond Burger here but was not impressed, since then I've had it again at another place where it was prepared better. The fries that came with the burger and the dip were pretty good though. I also had a slice of cake, which was good but nothing special.

We had the beyond meat burger and the spirelli bowl. We also had two cakes. Everything was amazing and tasted really good. It was def something new and special for us. But the service was really bad. It took 1,5 hour for our food to come to the table and the waiter didnt even say 'sorry' or explained what happend. The staff is really friendly, just not professional. They didn't offer us a second round of drinks, were super super slow with everything (we saw them hanging around the bar instead of helping us and other guests). So yay for the food, nay for the service.

Froindlichst has such a diverse, creative menu that deciding what to get was very hard. The burger had a ton of flavor and all of the sauces made the food extra good. If you are trying to please non-vegan friends, this is the place to take them because there is no way they could miss the animal products because of how good the food is.
