Wholesome filling food - Edit
Visited Fröjas Sal for lunch with a friend and shared an Ethiopian platter and moussaka between us. Both were hearty and tasty, and I loved that we were offered second helpings by the friendly staff member.
Read moreThe menu is largely vegan (the lunch menu was completely vegan) and so were most of the cakes which I will need to come back and try another time.

Feels like home - Edit
We absolutely loved it!!! The food was beyond tasty, you can clearly tell that they cook it with love. The menu also includes some delicious soup, tea and coffee. And the best part was the staff, who are incredibly nice and will make the most of your experience. These are the kind of places you’ll always come back to.

Just yumm! - Edit
In short: Great food, price and staff.
Read moreThe long version: We came for the lunch menu and were delighted. The menu includes one of four options (ethiopian with injera, two curries with rice and one noodle dish), soup, salad and coffee/tea - refill included. Everything was so tasty and the staff was super kind, explaining all dishes and offering oat milk and refills.
The vegetables of the salad bar was super fresh and of good quality.
The price is more than fair for what you get.
Hope to come here again soon.

Excellent - Edit
We didn’t like Ethiopian food. We tried it here anyway. Now we love Ethiopian food. At the time we were there, you could also choose chili sin carne, red curry, and another dish (I forgot). All was vegan. Excellent smoothies as well.

Charming service and great food - Edit
Staff was friendly and spoke English.
Read moreThey were very helpful and explained everything well, including the second servings that are included in the price.
They had a buffet with salad and lentil soup, included in the price for the main dish.
I took some of the lentil soup which tasted alright.
As a main dish I had jal frezi, which tasted well.
Sadly not entirely vegan.

Fantastic! - Edit
Not only was the food incredibly flavorful, each main course comes with free coffee/tea, salad, soup, and seconds (or thirds or fourths) for a very reasonable price. The staff was friendly and the café was quaint and bright. The menu changes daily and consists of unique dishes bursting with flavor. I wish I could have spent more time in Uppsala, as I would definitely have paid this spot another visit.

We pretty much stumbled upon this place when we were out for a walk, and I was surprised it wasn't already in Happy Cow.
