vegan royal burger - Edit
It's suuper delicious. The bun is soft like in McDonald's. If I would do it myself I would spend much more comparing to the burger price here.

Amazing vegan snacks and sauces - Edit
For those vegans among us who sometimes just crave an authentic and perhaps less healthy frituur experience, this place is just perfect. Their offer of vegan deepfried snacks is very large, as are the home made vegan sauces to go with it. Try the bitterballen!

Plenty vegan options, also homemade sauces and snacks which are really nice & to have all the vegan food separated and separately baked from the "regular" options makes it the perfect place to safely get some fries and snacks, without having to worry and ask if it's all plantbased. Very friendly staff and real good munchies * Frituur Ellen is the best frituur I know ♡

A great place ! Their assortiment of veggie/vegan snacks and vegan sauces still grows. The fries are baked like they should be. Very friendly staff. On Sunday evening you might have to wait longer to get your food as they also do take away.

Mmm, vegan snacks! - Edit
I'm not too crazy about fries but I absolutely love the snacks! Vegan spring rolls, 'bitterballen', 'bamischijf', ... the owner knows which snacks are vegan and which ones aren't. Their fries aren't always the best, but those vegan snacks make up for it! Too bad they don't have vegan mayonaise.

Orders vegan snacks to accomodate local vegans :) - Edit
Fries-shops or snackbars ('frituur' in Flamish) are famous and can be found all around the country. Unfortunately the options for vegans are very limited (to non existent) and fries are mostly fried in animal fats (unlike the fries in The Netherlands). Lucky vegetarians and vegans that Frituur Ellen fries in plant based oils and even ordered vegan snacks to accommodate the vegan community of Antwerp.

Let's support Ellen so in the future more vegan snacks will find their way to Antwerp! (Current snacks are from The Vegetarian Butcher (De Vegetarische Slager in Dutch))
FOR TOURISTS: Frituur Ellen is a bit outside the city center, but get on a city bike (Velo) and get here local-style!
