It could have been the years of having them as the only option in every crappy restaurant within reach that taught me to appreciate these little golden spears. Or it's simply their natural deliciousness.
Read moreIn both cases, Frittenwerk whips up something nice around the fries and makes them varied. Plus, I can imagine that the meal is healthy, thanks to the half tomato or whatever they randomly slap on them this month.
A welcome place to go and get my fill. Nothing more, nothing less.

Voor een avondmaaltijd denk ik dat je niet genoeg hebt met 1 bakje. Dit maakt het best prijzig als je meer besteld.
Wij hadden al andere vegan dingen in het centrum gegeten waardoor we genoeg hadden met bakje coleslaw gedeeld.

There are some vegan options and the fries are decent enough, but it's really nothing special. This area has many other, better lunch options so would only recommend if you really want some poutine.

It's just lettuce with 3 miniscule falafels (literally 3 cm diameter, I've never seen falafels this tiny) maybe a spoonful of quinoa and little else. Basically not filling at all which for 8,7€ is pretty bad, as I'll have to get more food on the train.
If you need to go here and you're hungry, better try something else.
Pros: Close to the train station , Quick and friendly service
Cons: Not filling , Too expensive for what you get

Read moreHabe hier das 1. Mal überhaupt „Poutine“ gegessen – gute flauschige Pommes mit einer Art Currywurst/Bolognesesauce, einer käsigeren Sauce, Vleischbällchen, Röstzwiebeln und 1/4 Limette. Echt gut. Kostete 7.90€ (Mai 2022) aber für den Hauptbahnhof finde ich das voll im Rahmen.
War richtig begeistert über die tolle vegane Auswahl. Es gab nicht nur „Trostpreise“ wie sonst häufig bei primär omnivoren Imbissen sondern tatsächlich mehr Auswahl als ich verarbeiten konnte. Das lag allerdings nicht nur am Zeitdruck weil mein Zug bald fuhr, sondern auch daran, dass
a) Die Speisekarten ausschließlich digital funktionierten und ständig wechselten, man nie das ganze Angebot auf einmal sehen konnte
b) Die vegane und vegetarische Markierung fast identisch waren, bei vegan ist allerdings noch ein Kreis um die Blume
Vorbestellen per Automat ging leider nicht, denn dort war der Text des Gerichts, das ich (vermutlich) wollte, zu lang, so dass der Bildschirm ihn abschnitt und die vegan/vegetarische Markierung nicht zu erkennen war. In der Detailansicht fehlt der Marker dann gänzlich. Da würde ich mir vom Frittenwerk wünschen, dass sie noch mal nachbessern. Und bittttteee auch analoge Speisekarten anbieten. Habe erst beim kurzen Warten auf mein Gericht (~6, 7 Minuten) gesehen, dass es auch veganen Coleslaw zu geben scheint, den hätte ich ja gerne noch dazu gekauft, hätte ich es rechtzeitig gewusst.
Die Angestellten waren auch super freundlich und das Aufrufesystem ist lustig. Statt dass man den eigenen Namen angibt und ewig buchstabiert, bekommt man auf dem Kassenzettel den Namen eines Kinderbuchcharakters zugewiesen. Vor mir war bspw. Graf Zahl ^^.

Pros: Viel Auswahl, Lustiges Aufrufsystem (zugewiesene Namen), Spannende Gerichte die es sonst nirgends gibt

We had Bolofritten and a Rainbowbowl. The Bolofritten tasted good but it was a quite small serving for the price. The Bowl disappointed us, because it mainly contained salad, a few grains of quinoa and three very tiny falafel.

It's a very modern fast food place. The inside is covered with moss. I've been to Frittenwerk more than I can count and it has never disappointed me. The fries are great and they have great vegan options. My favourite ones are the tijuana fries it's guacamole, salsa and sour cream but I ask to get it without sour cream and they are super friendly about it. I think the prices seem fair as you get great quality I think without a drink it's about 6-8€. Would definitely recommend it 😊

Exactly what we needed - Edit
Having just arrived in Frankfurt, we needed somewhere easy and we stumbled across Frittenwerk. The menu has one clearly labelled option but when we ordered it, we were told some of the vegetarian ones could be adapted to be vegan. This hit the spot. Bolognese was really good and the fresh tomatoes and rocket added a freshness. The ‘cheese’ melted into the sauce with a bit of mixing and the whole meal was cheap and nice.
