Best vegan currywurst I’ve ever had - Edit
I got the vegan currywurst fries €8.70 and the vegan chili cheese fries €8.20. I got them both with garlic oil for €0.60 more per order, but I couldn’t tell at all, so I don’t think that’s worth it. Tbh, just because of the price, I personally wouldn’t go back. But I think it tasted amazing to try once and for the novelty of not ever getting to eat this.
Read moreThe vegan currywurst was a 10!!! So great. I think it’s a must try if you’re visiting Germany as a vegan. I’ve had it a lot both vegan and not vegan, and this one was excellent.
The jalapeños on the chili cheese fries were not spicy, almost like pickled. And the chili and cheese were pretty sweet. I think this is to suit the German taste, but I wish it was at least a little spicy. Still really really good. 9/10. The cheese is similar to American nacho cheese you get at a sports game, but without the spice. Tasted pretty good!
Two people were full from two fries. This is guilty pleasure food at its finest. I thought it was great and had a lot of sauce/flavors on it.
Also great atmosphere! So you’re also paying for that.

Pretty decent choice if you're looking for a quick snack. They offer a couple of vegan options that are quite creative and not just your ordinary fries but also serve meat. Big, "instagrammable" portions but a bit on the pricier side.

Außergewöhnliche Pommes und große Auswahl - Edit
Frittenwerk bietet außergewöhnliche Pommes/Poutine Kreationen an, von denen ein Großteil vegan ist. Zudem gibt es mit den Churros auch einen veganen Nachtisch. Preislich ist es für Pommes vielleicht etwas höher, dafür bekommt man aber auch eine große Portion. Die Zubereitung ging sehr schnell und trotz langer Schlange, muss man nicht lange warten.

Very nice poutine/ loaded chips with several of the many variations being vegan. It's a self service type of deal. It's usually busy but they serve the chips swiftly.

I love Frittenwerk and it's fries so much. I was so happy when I saw that there is one in cologne, because the "pink persia poutine"-fries with pink hummus and falafel balls is the best and I could eat it every day. The other vegan options are fries with vegan Bolognese and as a dessert vegan churros, but without chocolate sauce because it's not vegan!

Bolo Fritten super lecker! - Edit
Es gibt zwei vegane Gerichte - die Bolo Fritten sind super lecker und absolut zu empfehlen! Oben auf die Bolo-Soße kommen frische gewürfelte Tomaten, Rucola und veganer Käse, was allem eine frische Note gibt. Der Preis scheint zuerst etwas teuer, aber es ist eine sehr große Portion, die dem Preis gerecht wird! :)

Die Pommes sind gut und auch die Knoblauch- und Süßkartoffelpommes sind vegan. Es gibt leider nur eine einzige vegane Option - die Bolo-Fritten - die allerdings sehr gut schmeckt.

I know that they only serve one labeled vegan dish but you have to try the oriental one and just change the sauce on top for a vegan one, that it’s completely vegan! I definitely prefer that over the other one!

There's only one vegan option on the menu but it is amazing! An interesting combination of tasty bolognese sauce (the soy gives it a nice texture) with crispy fries (fried in plant-based oil). The vegan cheese on top is great too. You can choose between normal, garlic or sweet potato fries. Looks quite pricy at first sight, but the portion was very big.

Für mich eindeutig überteuert - für eine Portion Süsskartoffelpommes mit Abocado Dip wird fast 7 Euro verlangt. Nur 1 veganes Gericht. Das ist vergleichbar zu den anderen Gerichten mit Käse ect. viel zu teuer. Da wird mit dem Zusatz „vegan“ wieder Geld gemacht ohne die Philosophie dahinter zu verstehen. Das Essen ist aber gut (hey, Pommes. Das ist nicht schwer).
