REMOVED: FrietHoes
Serves meat, vegan options available. Tiny biological fry shop. Uses a blend of 5 oils (palm oil plus other vegetable oils) to fry the potatoes. Belgian style twice-fried fries. The mayonaise is not veg-friendly, but the peanutsauce is vegan. REMOVED 2016 FOR POOR VEGAN OPTIONS. Open Mon-Sun 12:00pm-8:00pm.

Not vegan/vegetarian - Edit
Palm oil with everything? The only vegan option is Fries and Vegetarians get a Kaassoufle... :P And the mayonnaise isn't even vegetarian! How is this place even on Happy Cow?
Cons: Mayonnaise not Vegetarian, PALM OIL!

Only chips (fries) but they're awesome! - Edit
The best chips I've ever tasted! Big shame they don't have any vegan snacks but I find this place hard to resist every time I pass by!
Pros: Best chips , Friendly people
Cons: No other vegan options

Shouldn't be on HappyCow - Edit
There's nothing wrong with the quality of the fries here, but there's nothing veg-friendly about this place. There are actually LESS vegetarian options here than most snackbars, there's no vegan snack option, and the mayonaise isn't even vegetarian. That makes this the least veg-friendly snackbar I know.
Cons: not veg-friendly

Warning: home made mayonnaise has Worcester sauce (anchovies) - Edit
Good tasting fries, but vegetarians: don't eat the home made mayonnaise, as they are using Worcester sauce in it that contains anchovies! Perhaps they could use an organic brand without fish..
Pros: Good tasting fries
Cons: Non vegetarian mayonnaise!

The best fries in town - Edit
This is my favorite snackbar in my hometown. At the Friethoes they sell the best fries in town. Not only organic and suiteble for vegans, but served with love and a smile. The homemade mayonaise (not vegan) and peanutsauce (vegan) are really tasty. If you eat cheese, you must try the home made cheesesoufflé. For drinks you can buy an organic soda.
Friethoes' design is also worth checking out: the lamps above the bar and the logo designed by Haarlems' cartoonist Joost Swarte. Really love this place!
Pros: Homemade sauces, Good service, Design
Cons: Big portions (if that is a con...)
