Burnt burger and very rude 🤨 - Edit

First of all, very good to see a place at the Belgian coast that has vegan options!

They have a beetroot burger and an avocado burger. The burger itself costs 18€ or 19€, which is very expensive, and you can order it in a menu with veggies and fries with sauce for 23€ or 24€.

So, I ordered the beetroot burger in a menu and kindly asked the waitress if they have a vegan sauce to go with with the fries. She didn't know so she would ask and let me know.

Then the food came, and there was no sauce so I asked the other waiter (who appeared to be the owner) if they had a vegan sauce. He immediately replied 'NO' in a very unfriendly way. So I asked very politely if by any chance it was possible to get some of the sauce that was on the burger. He replied very irritated 'what is it that you want?'. At that point I really felt very uncomfortable but I tried one more time to politely explain and then he went and got me some of the sauce, gave it to me in anger, after which I apologised for asking. He remained angry and didn't respond.

I felt that was a bit of an unnecessary overreaction to a simple question. I totally would have accepted a friendly 'no'.

On top of that the burger was burnt, it was completely black.

I might have been unlucky with the waiter and the burnt burger but based on my experience, I would not recommend.

Aanrader op de zeedijk in Middelkerke - Edit

Rode biet burger en advocadoburger met frietjes gegeten. Dit zijn de enige vegan opties, maar ze zijn wel lekker. Vriendelijk personeel en mooie propere zaak
