Amazing food and prices, subpar service at times - Edit
I had been eating at Freska weekly for months when I moved nearby. They have several veg options and are so affordable. In more recent times I had some customer service experiences that were not so great and the last time I decided not to go back after they made multiple mistakes with my order (it wasn’t complicated, just options that come with the dish, plus I wanted something on the side). I waited while many people behind me in line were served, paid, and eating, and when I got up to the register and I pointed out they still hadn’t gotten it right, she just stared at me and didn’t offer to remake it or anything. It was upsetting after being a regular and loving supporting the place. (I also know they pay their workers well based on their job opening signs with listed wages). I just didn’t understand the issue but I was feeling embarrassed and anxious, so I just left.
I didn’t go back, but I recommend you do and hope that you have better service (maybe it was just a bad day?) and enjoy their amazing food.
Falafel, tabouli, dolmas, and French fries! All great! Its (ALL) prepared in front of you like an upscale subway. But the flavors are spot-on Amazing! This is THE only place I like dolmas - phenomenal lemoney flavor and their leaves aren't stringy! Their baba ganoush actually tastes "roasted" and it's stick-to-your-ribs thick! Fries have this amazing Greek oregano seasoning salt added after it comes out of the oil - more like out of this world! Tied for best falafel - in a town that does pretty decent falafel! Tabouli, it's perfect, great salad for warm days! Prices are still decent if you don't use delivery companies.
It’s really tasty! I’m only giving it three stars because I wasn’t floored by it, y’know? Like, I know three med places in Madison that make my mouth water with a simple thought of them and this place is really really good but doesn’t make my mouth water. That being said it might just be my preference so do, seriously, try it! It’s so so so good!

Good falafel - Edit
My weeknight go to when I want falafel. It is super tasty!! The veggie feast without feta is vegan, and so good. Their hummus is pretty good as well.

Yum! - Edit
My favorite place to grab Mediterranean food in the Madison area. Always tastes fresh and delicious. Can be pretty busy around the lunch rush.
