This place does indeed serve meat now (Feb 2025) but they still have a good veg/vegan menu. Would come back.

Not Vegetarian Anymore - Edit
This isn’t a vegetarian place anymore. I was so confused and checked multiple times whether I was at the right place, since their main advertised dish is Beef Noodle Soup now. I still ate here because the lady was familiar with vegetarian/vegan and said anything can be made with tofu. Got the green curry. It was good enough.

Fantastically delish - Edit
I had the dish that everyone else on here seems to have also had - soy sauce stir-fried rice noodles with mushroom and veg (ask for no egg). BOY was this delicious and the textures quite on point - bouncy, slightly chewy rice noodles stir fried with a bunch of crispy garlic and a heap of different veg, yum. Be warned the dish is quite oily - but I think it needs to be that way for texture etc, but it’s not TOO oily that you’re swimming in it after.
Read moreThe restaurant is on a busy road, near a temple across the road, but the plant-filled atmosphere they’ve set up is quite nice regardless. Also, the lady who served me is a delightful gem of a human - thank you!😄
Pros: Delicious, Sweet staff, Ice cold water
Cons: On a busy motor-vehicle filled road

Lovely restaurant and lovely food! - Edit
Vegetarian not vegan, but almost everything is vegan or can be veganised (just a few options on the menu with egg which can be removed)
Read moreFood I had was really good (kao tofu pat phik pao), full of flavour and a good sized portion, though some of the food was priced at the higher end of the restaurants I have seen (range from 80 baht to 150 baht)
Overall would definitely recommend! The restaurant itself is really cute, the staff are very nice and they have wifi and fans if u need to sit for a bit :)) also they give u cold iced water which is great
Pros: Mostly vegan, Lovely staff , Full of flavour and good size
Cons: Juices/shakes look great but are a bit expensive

Great Food for Veg in Chiang Mai - Edit
Really enjoyed the Pad thai here at fresh time. This has to be the beat pad Thai I’ve had in Thailand and I’ve done: Phuket Krabi Pai and all the areas in between. The fresh veg rice wraps are also amazing!! Come here if you’re in Chiang Mai !

Nice and delicious Vegetarian Restaurant - Edit
Best Pineapple Fried Rice I had in the city. It comes with egg so if you are vegan remember to ask no egg. The juice shake was just amazing!

Mushroom Heaven - Edit
So many mushies on the menu! Very very delicious. Expect to pay 80-120 for a main. The king coconuts are 50 bhat, cold and perfect. The service was so great, they kept filling up our glass with icy water! Cute little place to hang out and listen to some sweet covers.

No Brown Rice again ! - Edit
The main attraction of Freshtime are the Smoothies & juices. They can be made to order. I like my smoothies thick so that you can eat them like ice-cream with a spoon. They made it perfectly.
Read moreThai Food here is also quite good, generous in size and moderately priced. I would go more often if brown rice was on offer.
Friendly service, but they can easily get busy with only limited staff on hand.
Pros: Great smoothies & fruit for any purpose., Good selection of Thai food
Cons: Rarely has Brown Rice available, No Tempeh or Protein Kaset

My new favorite in Chiang Mai! - Edit
I regret that it has taken me so long to discover this fantastic veg cafe! It’s in a great central location with cute indoor or outdoor seating and nice big floor fans that actually keep you cool. The owner and chef is the sweetest person on the face of the earth and gives great service, including customizing orders however you like (everything can easily be made vegan except for the omelette). On my first visit I had a perfectly made pad ke mao with noodles. It was super fresh with loads of veggies and delicious mushrooms. And a heaping fruit platter for dessert! I found the quality and authenticity of everything I’ve had here to be the best in the area. And that the owner makes you feel so warmly welcomed and never rushed makes this a new favorite of mine.

Too much plastic waste! - Edit
I tried this restaurant out today and I did quite enjoy the food, which was somtam (with tofu instead of fried egg) and fresh spring rolls. I also had a banana coconut smoothie. I wonder why the smoothie was served in a plastic cup with a plastic straw since it obviously wasn't a take away. Even the peanut sauce was served with a plastic spoon!! Why?! It was so sad to see all the plastic cups stacked up at the juice bar.
Read moreChiang Mai is gradually becoming more and more aware of all of the unnecessary waste that has surrounded us for years and so many places have been putting appropriate policies in place, I wonder why this restaurant hasn't as it should be particularly important to any veggie restaurant.
Vegan dishes are not indicated on the menu so you will need to ask but staff are helpful.
Menu is not huge but there are a few nice things on there.
No free water like the other restaurants have.
However, food is fresh :)
