Only “Vegan” Option

Hate to complain when they are the only place in Terminal A with any viable vegan options but was disappointed that with a name like Freshens Food Studio the only vegan items were smoothies. The smoothie is delicious, but a bit pricey. I suppose I should be grateful for a place with multiple labeled vegan items on the menu. Not allergen friendly though!

Pros: Several vegan options

Cons: Pricey, Only vegan smoothies

Sickeningly sweet

This place offers some clearly labeled vegan smoothies. However, things don’t look that sanitary here, and the smoothie I had was ultra sweet and ultimately did not taste that healthy, somewhat like Jamba Juice. This is the type of place that I would never go to were I not stuck at the airport.

Not a viable option

The A Concourse continues to be a desert for vegan options. I had hopes for a place with “Fresh” in its name but alas, it was a bust. No salads without chicken and cheese. There is one marked vegetarian but you’d have to ask them to hold the cheese. It didn’t seem worth it for the price. The smoothies have several marked vegan but it seemed sketchy with the reusing of blenders.

Not allergen friendly

I had hoped to get a smoothie as my flight was delayed and there are few options in concourse A. I had mentioned I have a strawberry allergy and the woman working shook her head and said, “everything is close together.” So there could easily be dairy contamination as well if that’s the case. They seem to reuse the same blenders for different smoothies without properly cleaning them in between from what I saw.

Not really a good vegan option! Bummer.
