Boring - Edit
The tofu was cold and raw in a flavorless burrito with plain beans and rice and tomato. No sauce. Oh well.

Chicken in my vegan burrito - Edit
I just visited this Fresh City location. Was pleased to find there was a vegan menu. I let the cashier know I was ordering two burritos from the vegan menu (the Cancun with no cheese, add rice and guac & the Big Easy). I also ordered my non-veg husband a bowl with chicken. At the rest stop he ate the bowl and I ate the Big Easy. Once back in the car, I started eating the Cancun. A few bites in, I started seeing chunks of chicken and realized I ate some of it. I'm a strict vegetarian that's also 7 months pregnant, so really not a great experience! I sent this to their customer service, we'll see what happens.

Vegan in a rest stop - Edit
While on my way from Maine to Pennsylvania I took a stop for lunch at Fresh City. The staff seemed to understand what vegan meant, and the food was good, but smaller than I expected. I ordered the Big Easy and thought it the peppers were a little soggy but that it was overall ok.

Nice food for a service station! - Edit
On our way from Boston to NY we always try to stop at a service station with a Fresh City as they have the most vegan options! I have had their burritos often before (just order with no cheese), but this last time they had a a Thai rice bowl which you can order with Tofu and it was delicious! It’s a great option if you need somewhere to stop on the highway. There is also outside seating at the service station which is dog friendly!
