Delicious - Edit
I've been coming to the French twist for a few years now. This is my first time visiting as a vegan. Their buckwheat crepes are pretty good, and they will make you whatever kind of crepe that you would like. I ordered a buckwheat crepe with blackberry jam. Delicious!

Nice to have vegan crepes! - Edit
I went here a few years ago (pre-pandemic days!) for a Baltimore Vegan Drinks event and really enjoyed it… tasty vegan options and cute atmosphere. I tried 2 savory and 2 sweet crepes and shared them with a friend, and we liked all of it. I’ve actually always wanted to go back but just haven’t made it there.
Read moreNote: it’s interesting to see the reviewer before me mention vegan cheese because at the BVD event we were told the restaurant was only offering it for the event unless we had enough attendees to prove there was demand (we did not reach that amount)… so I’m happy to see they are still offering it, even if not consistently.
Pros: Vegan crepes are hard to find, Tasty, Cute restaurant and area

Cute cafe in a tiny, cute historic town. Plus, vegan crepes! - Edit
If you ask for a vegan crepe, they make it out of buckwheat. They have had vegan cheese for savory crepes in the past, but one time I went there they were out of vegan cheese, so you need to be mentally prepared for a more limited menu than you originally expected. The first time I went in there and asked what was vegan, they said that anything on the menu could be made vegan, but then they realized that that only certain ones could be vegan, so don't expect the person at the register to be fully informed about what vegan options are available. Apparently the chocolate filling they use for some of the sweet crepes is vegan. You can also get banana filling. They also have multiple plant based milk options for coffee. They have outdoor seating on the front porch and in the parking lot out back. Go for a Sunday brunch and then you can go to the Sykesville Farmers Market across the street. There are also good hiking trails along the South Branch Patapsco River less than a mile away.
