worth the splurge! - Edit
Really great ice cream. Tried the strawberry and the beet ice cream. Creamy, delicious, really fruity flavoured not just 'sugary'. Reallly worth it!

Delicious ice cream - Edit
Honestly, the options here were more like gelato than ice cream: creamy, thick, intense flavors, and all around awesome. It’s not inexpensive (about $5 per scoop), but worth a splurge every once in a while.

Superb Plant Based Ice Cream Shop! - Edit
Was walking around the university mall when we stumbled upon Frankie and Jo's. It was a special treat to stumble upon a vegan ice cream shop. With a good selection to choose from and delicious waffle cones. Seattle you have the envy of this Bay Area native.

Love their seasonal flavors - Edit
Every flavor is great, but we love to get their seasonal flavors! The cranberry gingersnap oatnog was the best in a while! Soooo good and definitely get a pint if you don’t live closeby😉

My partner loves their unique flavor offerings. On our most recent trip he got one of their seasonal flavors, the cranberry gingersnap oatnog and said it was amazing.

Top tier ice cream - Edit
With a completely plant-based menu, it made it extra challenging for me to narrow down which flavors I wanted. Fortunately they allowed you to sample as many flavors as you'd like, so I definitely had my fixing.
Read moreEverything here is 100% vegan, gum-free, and soy-free. This avoids a lot of the top allergens which is quite impressive, as most of the flavors are coconut based. Each item on the menu also has a complete ingredients list which makes it really easy to know what you are consuming.
I ultimately went with a double scoop of their Supercookies & Cream, and their Salted Caramel Ash. Both of these flavors were incredible. The ice cream was delectably creamy and oh so satisfying.
While there's not a lot of seating inside, they are located in an open plaza with plenty of tables and seats to choose from.

I enjoyed the Chocolate Tahini Supercookie flavor, but it mostly tasted like chocolate ice cream with chocolate chunks.

yummy yum yum - Edit
i brought my friends here. no particular reason, not to cheer myself up, just because they have good ice cream and they’re all vegan and it was a nice sunny day and i wanted to go get some ice cream. some people eat ice cream when they’re sad but i eat ice cream when i’m happy. well technically it was a sorbet. i love vegan businesses. i love vegans. i love seattle. all of these things converge at frankie and jo’s. what a wonderful place. ice cream lifts your mood in the best of times and the worst of times. there is also a veggie grill nearby i think which is yummy.
Read morelevi, if you’re reading this, we should come here sometime. i know you’ve already been to the other location, but maybe we can make a new memory here. they have interesting flavors. we can share two scoops. there’s nothing like expensive ice cream on a summer evening. i’ll pay. consider it. i’ll see you in a couple weeks.💗

Had me at Salty Caramel Ash - Edit
I have never seen so many plant based frozen desserts in one location and wanted to try them all. My first taste was Salty Carmel Ash and that was it, I was in love. The silky smooth texture, I think, adds to the delicious sweet caramel flavor. Then add a plant based cone and I was in heaven and feeling very decadent.

Decently interesting - Edit
We tried the beet strawberry rose sorbet and the california cabin. The sorbet w reminded me of a nostalgic candy. There were some floral notes in there without being soapy. The California cabin was supposed to have smoked vanilla, cardamom, black pepper but it tasted mostly of coconut.

It’s that good - Edit
I had the Chocolate Tahini Supercookie just a standard scoop to share with the hubby. It was plenty and plenty delightful to enjoy immensely. The flavor was rich and the texture was a culinary adventure to be repeated. Can’t wait to try more flavors. Also loved that the ice cream was not overly sweet but just right. Cute shop with happy and friendly welcoming staff and atmosphere.

So creamy and tasty! - Edit
I got the chocolate super cookie and it was delicious and had a great texture. The waffle cone is also yummy, just know it’s gesture is a bit more cookie like than waffle cone since it’s gluten free.

Absolutely Delicious - Edit
I love ice cream, and I am pretty picky about it. As someone who has had lots of vegan ice cream, I have a common complaint that it’s oddly sweet or not creamy. Not at Frankie & Jo’s. My boyfriend ordered the chocolate tahini supercookie, and I ordered a split of the brown sugar vanilla and supercookies and cream, both in a waffle cone. All of the flavors were beyond delicious and especially creamy. The brown sugar vanilla was so good my non-veg dad tasted it and went back in to get his own scoop.
Read moreI seriously think it’s some of the best ice cream I have ever had, and my family agreed. There were many fun flavors and toppings too. The person working was also super friendly. I highly recommend giving this place a try!

This ice cream was delicious! So glad to have some vegan ice cream amidst so many other options in U Village. I took my cousins and they didn't even realize it was vegan.

Yummy 🍦 - Edit
I got a “mini” scoop of rocky road in a cone and it was delicious. The ice cream was smooth and creamy and there were soft marshmallows and crunchy nut pieces sprinkled throughout. The portion size was also quite large for a “mini”. Frankie and Jo’s seems to have improved their recipe over the past couple years and it’s great!
