UK chain of pizzerias est. 1986 in Brixton Market as a stand alone shop by Franco who later sold the business to his friends who named the shop "Franco Manca" (Italian for “Franco is missing”) as an homage to the founder. Makes sourdough pizza from slow-rising dough, which are baked in a wood-fired oven. One pizza is vegan by default; may pay for additional toppings such as spinach, artichokes, and plant-based cheese. Also has rotating vegan specials. Other vegan menu items are olives, pizza bread, and dessert sorbet. Open Mon-Thu 12:00-22:30, Fri-Sat 12:00-23:00, Sun 12:00-22:00.

Franco Manca’s vegan-friendly pizzas are generally good, but not incredibly imaginative. Specials change quite regularly, so sometimes you get a nice surprise.
Read moreGreat that they have vegan-friendly wine, though, and all at a reasonable price - good value when we do have a meal here. People are generally very friendly too.
