Serves meat, vegan options available. UK chain of pizzerias est. 1986 in Brixton Market as a stand alone shop by Franco who later sold the business to his friends who named the shop "Franco Manca" (Italian for “Franco is missing”) as an homage to the founder. Makes sourdough pizza from slow-rising dough, which are baked in a wood-fired oven. One pizza is vegan by default; may pay for additional toppings such as spinach, artichokes, and plant-based cheese. Also has rotating vegan specials. Other vegan menu items are olives, pizza bread, and dessert sorbet. Open Mon-Thu 12:00-22:00, Fri-Sat 12:00-23:00, Sun 12:00-22:00.

Vegan cheese pizza

You can change mozzarella into plantbased mozzarella (Violife), no extra charge, making a few pizza’s on the list vegan. When I visited the place, they also had a vegan special written on the sign above the counter inside. Vegan cheese was melted perfectedly, making me doubt whether I got the right pizza for a brief moment (based on the look, not taste). Taste was great, nice sourdough baked in a pizza oven, giving it a mild smoky flavor.

Ambiance not special, just a simple pizza place.

Can’t complain

Franco manca pizzas are solid and being able to change to vegan cheese for free is handy. Although I added Chillis, Caramelised onions and mushrooms onto it and it cost £5.60 extra which I thought was very steep! But it’s good scran so I won’t complain too much

Pros: Free to go vegan, Good pizza, Good location

Cons: Cost of extra toppings

Amazing pizzas

Authentic pizzas that you can swap to vegan cheese (for a price...). 4 stars as the pizza is great but editing the pizzas is way more expensive than it should be
