Bad Vegan Pizzas

This was my first time trying Franco Manca and I was so disappointed. I ordered the Margherita Pizza with vegan cheese and it was one of the worst vegan pizzas I’ve had. The dough base was the best part as the crust was fluffy which I like but the toppings were so bad. The amount of tomato sauce and cheese on top was so minimal I could barely taste the cheese. It’s quite expensive for what it is too. The vegan options are really lacking on their menu too. I wouldn’t / haven’t rushed back since.

Cons: Expensive, Few vegan options, Terrible vegan pizza

Mixed feelings

Not sure if this had to do with it being delivered rather than eaten in, but the pizza was cold and the cheese seemed to have been added on without being melted, sort of like a last-minute decision. Toppings were quite sparse, but the crust and extra herbs were tasty. I just went for the standard vegan option, but have definitely had better pizzas elsewhere.

Pros: Extra herbs added at no cost, Good crust

Cons: Cold, Cheese not melted, Not many toppings

It's all about the base

Having seen the other pictures of pizzas from Franco I'm only sad I didn't take a photo of mine which bore no resemblance to the others here. It was mostly crust with poor sauce, and hardly any vegan cheese which you have to pay extra for. Instead I got a lecture on regional differences in pizza to explain away the excuse for a pizza I was served. In short a bad pizza, poor service, humiliating experience.

Pros: Deliveroo take priority, Less noisy outside, Polite waiting staff

Cons: Too much crust, Have to pay extra for vegan cheese, Long wait

Delicious

Franco Manca pizzas are thin in the middle with thick fluffy crusts! Number 1 on the menu is vegan, you can add toppings and vegan cheese. The blackboards show the specials. I had the vegan special with some vegan cheese on top and it was amazing!

Pizza was impressive

Outdoor seating was really nice, as we had nice weather this evening. Pizza was 5 stars. I loved the crust especially. The server knew exactly which toppings were vegan. If you don't like oil drizzled on your pizza, request they leave it off. I cook with no oil, so try and avoid it as much as I can at restaurants.

Pros: Vegan cheese is available, Plenty of veggie options and basil and oregano

Cons: Lentils are cooked in animal fat, Lemonade has honey in it

Great vegan pizza

Their ‘number 1’ pizza with the vegan cheese is a great option if you’re going out for pizza with non-vegan friends. It only costs £6.60. The waiter was very friendly and service was quick. The restaurant was right next to the station, so it’s perfect for anyone who is/will be travelling.
