Upscale fast food - Edit
We enjoyed our burgers and fries, and would come back, but I've had similar vegan burgers elsewhere, so it wasn't amazing, just good.

Tasty Burgers!! - Edit
The burgers are great. 2 of us had impossible 1 had the black bean patty. All were great. For some reason we didn’t get the carafe of water that other tables got which was a bummer because the glasses are tiny and the waitstaff isn’t around.

Has potential but messed up gf order - Edit
I hate to write a bad review as I love a fully vegan restaurant near me, but I didn’t have the greatest experience. It was a bit awkward ordering with the barcode system and having our friends order be added to ours. So the waitress took our order manually. 2 of us ordered the gluten free bun and didn’t realize until we almost finished it that they were not gluten free! I have an allergy , not super serious as I can handle some contamination but not an entire bun usually - thankfully I did not break into hives. We let the staff know and they did not seem all that concerned and we had to ask them to not charge us the extra fee for gf. They didn’t offer to comp anything or make us another one. But it was very greasy and the fries were so salty we could not finish them. So I don’t think I’d want anymore anyway. Another thing is $1.50 for other sauces seems super high. The bacon was super burnt on our friends burger and Also it was very loud so you can’t hear anyone talking. Just a note if that is not your vibe. On the plus side, the homemade bean burger is excellent. And the fries would probably be excellent if a lot less salty. Maybe they could ask how salty you want or have salt on the table for people who like that. I hope they improve and wish them the best of luck…

You will not find a better burger joint! - Edit
There are burger joints, and then there is Francis Burger!! This place offers the ambience of one of those uptight restaurants, the staff you expect from any NE bar (friendly and fun), and the food...OMG, the food. Can we talk about the food for a minute?
Read moreI started off with the cup of chili. I believe the actual name was "to die for chili"! If not, they should rename it, because it is to die for - 100%. Then I followed it up with a bacon cheese burger and what I seem to recall the most amazing fries I have ever had. Not kidding, they were unbelievably good, and they are fries. The burger came with tomato, lettuce, onion and the "holy sh*t" Francis sauce (pardon my French). I could have eaten 10 of these burgers and not felt guilty at all. For my drink I had a coke, and not just any Coke, an ice cold (glass) bottle of Coca~Cola, like grandma used to serve!
BTW, if you like to choose your favorite sauce, Francis Burger has a list that you will not believe!! I had the BBQ Aioli for my incredible fries! Like everything else, it was outstanding...
If I could give them 10 stars I would...you are missing out on life if you do not make this your go-to burger joint! See you there!!!
Vegetarian options: What can I say?! Vegan options that every vegetarian on the planet will want to have. Again, and again, and again (you get the picture)...
Kid-friendliness: Families, kids, or singles will all find the menu and the atmosphere intoxicating. Fun environment, great food, perfect family place to eat.
Dietary restrictions: This is an all VEGAN menu, top to bottom. Including the bar items as well. So don't let the bacon cheeseburger fool you in name. It was definitely the best burger I have ever eaten, but it was 100% Vegan!
Pros: Atmosphere, Food is incredible, The staff is friendly and fun
Cons: I just could not eat enough...but that's on me, How much I want to come back, over and over again!, Maybe the parking, but who cares - this place rock

Best vegan burgers? - Edit
Usually, a burger is the default vegan option for any restaurant, so they rarely excite me anymore. We went to this place expecting a typical burger joint, but the baconator was probably the best vegan burger I’ve had to date. Not to mention, the chicken sandwich is pretty spectacular.
Read moreI see people complaining about 20% service fee.
This IS technically non-tipping and ensures everyone working that day gets paid for the amount they worked. I don’t like the way tipping works in the restaurant industry, but people wouldn’t make a living wage without that fee…so maybe think about that before complaining.
Ordering online meant we could order whenever and add whatever we wanted w/o having to flag down a waiter and wasn’t a problem. I thought the staff was actually more attentive because they didn’t have to deal with taking and inputting orders.
Pros: Real good food , Great service
Cons: Slightly expensive

Masterful vegan Americana - Edit
Just the kind of stuff you crave. We got some Francis cheeseburgers with bacon on them. Every piece was perfect. Even the buns were divine. We also got some cheeseburger chilli fries which were excellent. And a yummy sprinkle cookie. The atmosphere was lovely like a nice bar. Will definitely be back.

You just have to try! - Edit
I’ve loved Francis since they’ve been a food truck but just went to the new restaurant last night and it did not disappoint! I’m more of a chicken sandwhich gal vs. burger but we tried the juicy Lucy and the chicken & bacon sandwhich and wowwwww both were so great. Very filling. We also had cocktails which you can’t really find a full vegan restaurant in Minneapolis with cocktails. Definitely go try them out you won’t be disappointed! ❤️

Great burger joint! - Edit
Loved that they don't just rely on Impossible burgers. They also make their own burgers. I had the fried chicken and the coating was soooo reminiscent of KFC! All the entrees come with a hefty portion of nicely made French Fries.

Best vegan burger! - Edit
Delicious food and drinks, cool vibe. Quick, friendly service. Their “Garlic Girl” burger with house made black bean burger and house made “bacon” was KILLER. Their fries are also DAMN GOOD. Various vegan dipping sauce options. (House made ranch was on point!) All safe for vegans! ❤️ *chef’s kiss* If you are in the mood for a killer plant based burger experience, this is worth the drive.

Delicious and fast! - Edit
It was so good that I came here 3 times in one week while traveling to the area. They have a small menu made of mostly burgers and fries but everything is delicious! The Garlic Girl with an impossible patty subbed for the bean patty is one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. And even when the restaurant is packed, the food come out super fast. It also is very clean, has a cool vibe, and has nice staff.

Best meat-imitation vegan burger I've ever had - Edit
I was skeptical about paying what is admittedly on the pricier side for an Impossible burger. I love Impossible Burger but you can buy it in stores and season/fry it up at home. But it did give me the opportunity to have my first vegan Juicy Lucy and it exceeded my expectations. Beautifully seasoned and grilled and the cheese was perfectly melted and the bun wonderfully toasted. One of the best vegan burgers I've ever had and certainly the best in terms of meat-imitation.
Read moreWe also ordered the Mosh Pit fries that had of course the Impossible burger as well as genuinely great pickles and jalapenos. Great ratio of fries to toppings.
I can't wait to stop here again and am eagerly awaiting their brick and mortar store!

Just when I thought I couldn’t take another veggie burger, here comes Francis with the “Hold my beer.”
Read moreI tried their namesake burger and it was amazing! I believe it’s an Impossible burger, but that buttery toasted bun and their special, homemade sauces really set them apart from the others. It left me immediately wanting another!
Mosh Pit Fries were also delicious! Basically, it’s the burger on fries instead of a bun. I added bacon and jalapeños to mine, and omitted the cheese.
Impossible Nuggets were equally delicious. Fried golden crispy with a subtle flavoring. I tried about 6 of their sauces. My favorites: Francis sauce, Habanero BBQ, BBQ, BBQ aioli.
They offer specials from time to time, like the corn dog, which I missed because I had to leave town.
The only thing I’d love more is if they offered vegan milkshakes.
