Damn, this pace is good

With the all-vegan menu it was difficult to choose. But, I did fine by choosing the Country Plate -- so damn good! It came with a pile of mash potatoes with a small pile of super tasty sauteed fresh mushrooms, a side of barley with corn that had a very nice texture and even better taste, and a big pile of veggies that were perfectly seasoned so that dipping it in the little cup of aioli was way wonderful.

The spicy lemonade I ordered also hit the spot.

I'll be coming back here, for sure.

Pros: Incredibly good food

Cons: pricey, but way worth it

Great vegan spot, a little hard to find

{The location is a little tricky. You have to walk around the building into a kind of terrace area where the restaurant hides.}

The food is great. We loved the hard boiled eggs, egg salad, tofu and pineapple stir fry, and Caesar salad. (We didn’t really like the vegan schwarma dish). The desserts were insanely good: the *best cheesecake we’ve ever had* and a chocolate bar dessert with mouth-watering vegan versions of Reese’s peanut butter cups and Snickers.

Pros: The desserts!, The vegan egg dishes

Cons: The location

⭐️Top 3 Vegan restaurants

I always give myself the pleasure of dining at 416 in Tel Aviv because it’s always an unforgettable experience. The restaurant offers an amazingly crafted vegan menu made with fresh, local ingredients. I particularly enjoyed the vegan shawarma, which was full of flavor and perfectly spiced. The staff were incredibly welcoming and made the dining experience even more special. The restaurant is also beautifully designed and has a cozy atmosphere. I highly recommend visiting 416 for a sustainable and delicious meal in Tel Aviv.

Great, but hoped for excellent

To be clear: the food, staff and drinks were really great. But for 5 stars it's often in the details. Portion size, music in the background, seasoning (good, but could be a tad more adventurous), the seating inside (we were seated right next to the restroom).
We started with the calamari and korean bbq (king oysters and oyster mushrooms respectively), the latter is a must-try. Had the meat version in my carnivorous past and the bbq flavor brought me right back to Seoul.
As mains we had the signature dish shawarma and the Ruby salad. They were nice but the portions were simply too big. Personally, I think they could upscale the seasoning on the shawarma. Thebsalad had caramalized pear, which is always a favorite, and almond feta. We didn't finish the salad and were so full we had to skip dessert, unfortunately. Had a nice cookie with our coffee to finish our evening.

Pros: Starters are awesome, Arak cocktail ('Made in Israel') is very special

Cons: Portions are too big, Seasoning could be more bold, Music is a little too 'present' (at least inside)

If you liked TGI Friday’s…

If you liked TGI Friday’s before you went vegan this is a great place. Personally not my favorite type of vegan food (I’m more of a Neroli/Meshek Barzilai gal) but I can recognize greatness. Took my TGI Fridays/Buffalo Wild Wings/Outback Steakhouse-loving parents here and they were so thoroughly impressed that we went a total of 3/7 nights of their stay. The food is super tasty and impressive. The vibe of the restaurant is on-point and the sangria is delicious and feels like you’re drinking a fun little potion. The Israeli and Korean BBQ are some of the best things on the menu!

Delicious food and huge portions

We struggled to find the place as we thought it was inside the mall (that's how it shows it on the app), so the map needs updating. Really tasty food, big portions, great for sharing.
A bit pricey but the size justified the price.

Pros: All vegan, Great variety , Really big portions

Cons: Hard to find as address not updated on app

Best vegan meat in TLV, and best brunch

Best vegan meat in TLV! Recommended: roast beef sandwich or steak salad. Any dish containing oyster mushrooms is also highly recommended, especially if you're not into fake meat. I actually found the steak to be a bit underwhelming (and overpriced) compared to their other meat dishes.

Update 2022- their new brunch (only available on weekends) is unbelievable. Go with as many people as possible so you can try more dishes!! Don’t skip the eggs benedict if we’re into that in your pre-vegan days.

From the non-brunch menu, my recent faves are the buffalo oyster mushrooms and the calamari.

NOTE - the English menu isn’t always up to date so if you are looking for an item that you don’t see, compare to the Hebrew menu or ask the server.

Delicious!!

Great vegan spot in Tel Aviv. The oyster mushroom calamari was out of this world. Seitan shawarma was delicious and HUGE. We were also going to order the roast beef sandwich, but he recommended starting with one because the portions are large. I’m glad we did, because we were stuffed with just one main course. We found room for dessert though, and the alfajores were incredible. I want to come back to try the roast beef sandwich, after reading other reviews!

Great Vegan option in a city with many. Will return

Amazing vegan food and not your typical fare. I left myself totally in the hands of our server (who was friendly, engaged and pointed us in the right direction). The calamari was out of this world. I half wondered if I was eating the real thing. He also had me go for the Korean BBQ skewer, which I wouldn’t have chosen, and it was flavorful and spicy. This place does try to mimic the texture and taste of meat, although there are some options if meat repulses you.

Finally he recommended the roast beef sandwich on challah. Hands down one of the best vegan sandwiches I have ever had.

Look you couldn’t eat here every day but it is a nice change of pace. The food is truly well done. We will be going back when in Tel Aviv.

———————————-
Update- I think I dreamt about the roast beef sandwich. All I can say is it reminds me of the day after Rosh Hashanah and eating a left over brisket sandwich (when I actually ate real meat). Trying to figure out it I can get some to go to bring back to the United States!

The best vegan spot in TLV

Mind blowing even for non vegans. All dishes are wonderful. My all time favorite is the roast beef chala and warm artichoke cheese appetizer.

Pros: Great atmosphere inside, Big portions great for sharing , Nice staff

Cons: Deserts are not worthy

Good not great

Our non-vegan friends really enjoyed it, but my family thought it was average. Servers were either really nice, or just nasty. The latter is the reason I wouldn’t return.

Pros: Music, Lebaneh appetizer, Steak in a pan

Cons: Servers (some of them), Spinach artichoke dip , Sweet & sour tofu

Trendy restaurant with great food

Food: calamari rings(mushrooms) were delicious. Their pasta was great. They have many nice options
Drinks: they make some super tasty cocktails with unique recipes. The right amount of alcohol and they really put effort into it
Ambiance: it invites you to bring over friends and chill for a while
Staff: the bartender's were great. The waiter told me they don't normally have a place for someone who comes for dinner alone but she could put me at the bar as an exception. She disregarded my response to that and rolled her eyes. That made me feel unwelcome, hence the lower rating.

Pros: Trendy place with warm vibes, Amazing cocktails, Loved the food!

Cons: Maybe not interested in solo-diners?
