Great soup and main dish just ok - Edit
I was impressed with the soup, which was simple but perfect harmony of vegetable soup.
Read moreBut the main dish, which was brown rice (just hard and not so tasty) and chickpea curry was tasteless. It was dry and rather cold (and it was a cold day so I wanted at least a warm food).
The place is dump and feels like it’s not so clean.
Very noisy - It’s a small place but the owner was making so much noise when cleaning dishes, as if she were mad at something :(

I'm so sorry you had a bad experience at Fortuna. You had a bad day for sure, usually our clients are very happy with not only the food but the service as well. I wasn't in that day, so I cant tell you what was wrong, anyway it has passed and the only thing I can do is to invite you to come back and it will be on me.

We passed by half an hour before closing time and she was so friendly to give us everything we wanted. We got some juich, delicious soup, a very rich, healthy and colourful main dishes and even a vegan and glutenfree dessert. Everything was vegan actually, love it. Yummy food in Sintra - Edit
Fortuna café, is a small and very cosy vegetaria/vegan restaurant in São Pedro, it has reopen today, even better then before. With great home made dishes and delicious alternative cakes, sugar free or gluten free, just ask they have it all. They also have take away and accept orders for cakes and savoury food. Definitely a place to visit.

Delicious and a must-visit in Sintra - Edit
The food here is home-style cooking—so delicious and prepared with care. The owner is also very kind, accommodating and caring. We experienced such great hospitality here, and she won’t leave you hungry! Great vegan options, too, for both food and desserts. Highly recommend a visit if you’re here visiting Sintra!

Really good!! - Edit
The lady who owns this is super lovely and clearly enjoys cooking, which you can taste in her food!! This place is relatively inexpensive, but a little out of the way if you're staying in the historic centre of sintra, about a 20 minute walk. The menu is small but all main dishes are vegan as well as most of the desserts.
