So friendly, so tasty

We walked in and were greeted warmly by the staff. There’s a “Help Desk” on the wall that explains what the drinks are, which is so helpful. It alleviates that feeling of staff being annoyed with your questions, which is something I’ve experienced at so many other coffee places.

There’s a little card reader next to the register where you can swipe and give a donation to the Humane Society!

Great Coffee

Everything you drink has been roasted in-house. Coffee, lattes, cold brew, nitro on tap, smoothies, kombucha. Bakery goods are homemade from scratch. No vegan baked goods as of this writing but they have vegan granola for sale.

They use recyclable cups & napkins and paper straws. Also check out this awesomeness from the philanthropy section of their website: "We receive numerous requests for sponsorships and donations, frankly more than we can afford to fund. Our philosophy is to focus on one area rather than spread our efforts across multiple needs. Our primary focus is on animal welfare. While there are arguments to be made whether this is the right approach, this is the approach we have determined is best for the growth of Forté Coffee. If you are a 501c3 organization involved in animal welfare, we’re here to listen to your ideas."

AMAZING COFFEE SHOP!!!

I have a house up in the Benton Harbor area and I recently discovered Forté. My mom goes there every time we are here to get us coffee and from what she has told me, the staff is super friendly. They have multiple plant-based milks (oat, almond, soy, coconut) to choose from and a wonderful vegan granola blend. There are also bakery items such as scones, cookies, and brownies that are vegetarian options. If in Southwest Michigan, please go support this small business!!!
