Delicious vegan food

This is a great place to stop by on your way from or to Apollo Bay. We ordered the jackfruit tacos, chips with vegan ailoi, mediterranean salad and tofu karrage. All were excellent. Lots of plant milks too for hot drinks.

Gem in the forest.

2 vegan options for meals, and all vegan beers.
The meals are amazing! We enjoyed both!
The Aioli is Vegan and delicious!

Pros: Great Vegan food

Cons: Only 2 options

Great Brewery

We decided to hit up Forrest Brewery due to my love of craft beer and after reading all the positive reviews about their vegan fish and chips. Sounded like a an absolute winner. After arriving and checking out the menu we found that the new Winter 2021 menu no longer includes the vegan fish and chips. With a slight feeling of disappointment I ordered myself a beer tasting paddle and a vegan mushroom burger. After seeing the burger hit the table my mild feeling of disappointment quickly receded. This was a good looking burger (huge) and tasted amazing. Grilled marinated portobellos, vegan mozzarella, mushroom ketchup. Can honestly say this burger was a standout. Beers were great also (and all vegan too). Menu also included a Warm Winter Salad and several vegan cakes/slices.

Pros: Amazing Mushroom Burger, Great Beers.

Cons: Only two vegan mains on the menu., Vegan Fish and Chips are no longer on the menu.

Delicious, 5/5, great!

Such a lovely, friendly pub! We had the quinoa lentil burger which was massive and delicious. Great vegan beer too. They have a couple of regular vegan items on the menu, and had a vegan special.

Beer-battered (“fish”)

We decided to go for lunch at the Forrest Brewing Co. whilst on holidays near Apollo Bay. We were drawn by the lure of the all-vegan beer, as well as the reviews here that mention the vegan Fish & Chips. Both the beer and food were delicious, the “fish” is made from banana blossom and had a great texture. Would highly recommend making the trip to Forrest, the drive is worth it!

Fantastic Forrest!

You know you're a foodie when you base your jaunty trip specifically around two places you want to eat at! Forrest Brewing Company was one of those places.
And what a jewel this place is! Worth the little dirt roads (and amazing views) that the friendly Ranger directed us down.
They brew the beer on site and it's all Vegan friendly. Choose the tasting palette to try them all!
It's a small food menu but you'll find at least three very good Vegan options.
We shared the V Fish & Chips - battered banana blossom which doesn't taste 'fishy' but has all the crunch and flakiness - and the Lentil & Quinoa Burger. Now I'm one of those weird Vegans who is very 'meh' about quinoa, but this was a flavour bomb. And both dishes were accompanied by the best chips I've tasted in a long while.
The staff are friendly and very happy to chat about how much you love the food and beer!

Pros: Absolutely worth the drive, Excellent Vegan options, The beer.

Yum

A cute little brewery in the small town of Forest. There was 3 vegan items on the menu: a lentil salad with feta, a falafel burger and a risotto. We got the salad and the burger. Both were good but the burger was really good and I definitely had food envy 😂. There isn't too many options out this way so is a good place to check out.

Pros: Good atmosphere, tasty food

Cons: Pricey
