Beautiful place to walk amongst animals that we know will not ever go to slaughter. Also, food is always amazing on open days and fund raisers.

Magnificant sanctuary - Edit
Forrest and Friends is a sanctuary for (mainly) ex-farm animals. Located on a hughe terrain in the picturesque hills of Kaggevinne you find different pastures with many rescued animals.
Read moreDuring the open door several guided tours are given (info on their website) through the site were the owners explain how the rescued animals came to Forrest and Friends and how they adapted to a life were they just can be animals and enjoy their days.

Prachtig toevluchtsoord voor dieren - Edit
We kregen via vegan summerfest interesse om aan de opendeurdag bij forrest and friends deel te nemen. Er was merchandise en wat lekkers voorzien. Ook stond er een rondleiding op de menu waarbij we mee werden genomen in de verhalen van de dieren die in veiligheid zijn gebracht. De rondleiding bood ook momenten om de dieren te knuffelen en bij te leren over de aanwezige dieren. Blijf zo doorgaan met wat jullie doen!! 🫶

Mooie en noodzakelijke organisatie. Tijdens de opendeurdagen kan je genieten van een rondleiding waar je meer te weten kan komen over de achtergrond van de dieren, triestig maar tegelijkertijd ook mooi dat het lot van de dieren veranderd is dankzij deze ongelofelijke dierenvrienden. Zeker een aanrader om te bezoeken en uiteraard te steunen!!❤️ 🐄 🐖

Large sanctuary for farmed animals - Edit
Every couple of months, there is an 'open house' at Forrest & Friends.
Read moreOne can meet the pigs, cows, goats, roosters, turkeys and many other animals who are adopted and stay at the sanctuary. It was lovely to have the opportunity to meet these animals and see them up close (and cuddle some- although some of the pigs can be a bit grumpy😉
At the open house weekend, there are also some vegan food trucks, drinks and pastry for sale.
we had a great day.
Kudos to the staff and volunteers of the sanctuary.
Note: the domain is several acres and the pastures are not wheelchair accessible. the area where the foodtrucks are is.
