Several veg options in a scarce veg landscape - Edit
Traveling between Christchurch and Dunedin, there seem to be very few vegan options. We stopped here for a lack of other options and were reasonably satisfied. Many dishes have a vegetarian or vegetarian option label such as basil stir fry tofu (which my husband really enjoyed, though I found it it a bit too sweet) and the vegetable stir fry (a bit oily). Other options include sweet and sour tofu and honey braised tofu. We followed a previous reviewer's advice who wrote that the vegetarian dishes were vegan unless otherwise listed, so we didn't ask too many questions.

Good option in vegan dessert - Edit
Good Asian food with enough vegan options. They understand vegan and offer different varieties of tofu to replace their meat and fish.
Read moreMenu shows “vegetarian option” which is also vegan, unless stated differently.
We had two stir fried tofu dishes. One braised tofu sweet and sour and puffed tofu sheets with a more tangy sauce. Tastes were very well balanced, high quality preparation.
For starters we had en corn fritter with seeweed, which serves as a very taste snack. And veg dumplings, pan fried.
Staff very friendly and accomodating. Would definitely recommended

Vegan options in Ashburton woohoo! - Edit
There are not many vegan options in this town so 4 stars for having veg food and knowing what vegan means. Most of the vegetarian options were already vegan, others could be made vegan. We had fried riced, dumplings, edamame and sweet & sour cauliflower. The sweet & sour cauliflower was expensive but amazingggg. Nice atmosphere and probably the best place in town
