Nettes Restaurant mit abwechslungsreichen Optionen. Mir gefällt besonders, dass die Gerichte einmal etwas anderes sind, als man sie schon von zahlreichen anderen Restaurants kennt – das heißt es gibt auch Sachen wie Speckknödel oder Rippchen anstatt nur der typischen Burger und klassischen Salat-Bowls.
Read moreDie Bowls selber klingen auch alle gut und besser als viele andere, die teilweise nur aus Salat und Gemüse zu bestehen scheinen. Das heißt sie sind sättigen und abwechslungsreich, enthalten von Gemüse über Nüsse bis zu Kohlenhydraten und haben eine warme Komponente.
Ich hatte die Buddha Brokkoli Bowl und fand sie sehr gut, vor allem der Tempeh war etwas anderes (meistens ist es Tofu) und sehr lecker, auch die Shiitake kannte ich so noch nicht.
Mir gefällt übrigens auch, dass im Restaurant Bildschirme hängen die abwechselnd Fotos von allen Gerichten zeigen und nicht nur sämtliche Allergene sowie Gluten auflisten, sondern auch davor warnen, wenn Koriander als Topping verwendet wird (den man dann einfach bestellen kann, wenn man will).
Preislich auch in Ordnung. Werde auf jeden Fall wieder kommen und mehr probieren. #Veganuary

4.5 The food was of a high standard. The service and seating are good but nothing special. Nice place to work a bit maybe if its quiet. Also nice if you want a good meal with a bigger group.

walked by on a thursday evening & got the nofish and chips and rippchen. the chips were a mix of ordinary and sweet potatoes and really good, rippchen too, nofish was a little dry. The dips tasted pretty much the same but okay. The highlight was the playlist though, not a single bad song, almost stayed longer just to hear more.

Schnelles Fastfood, erinnert mich an Maci, Qualität ist auch ok, aber kein besonderes Geschmackerlebnis. So wie in Fastfoodrestaurants eben üblich ist. Wer schnell was ordentlich sättigendes essen will, ist da sicher richtig und gut aufgehoben. Das Ambiente erinnert ebenso an Maci oder an eine Kantine. Aber alles in einem: eine gute Portion Fastfood zu einem angemessenen Preis. Das Personal an der Kassa sehr freundlich.

My partner chose the ribs which I must admit looked and tasted so good that I was a little jealous. Thankfully I had my own dish to fawn over.
As a Dutchie I could not help myself to try the (as they call it Höllandische art) Kapsalon. It was all I could ask for and more. What was expecially interesting was the substitute for the cheese in this dish. Usually a kapsalon consists of French fries, döner kabab and a whole lot of cheese. This rendition had some sort of a pesto like spicy drizzle that transcended the need of cheese in a dish like this.
(And don't forget to try the home brewed kombucha's)
All and all 5 out of 5, I would definitely recommand (and hope for someone to bring the franchise to my own city)

We went to Forky‘s twice. The first time we ordered the fish and chips. Big mistake. We got a few strips of soggy tofu covered in seaweed. The smell alone was unbearable and it tasted really bad. After half a year we gave it another shot. This time we ordered a burger and a wrap. Both covered in so much sauce, it was a big mess. After the visit both our stomachs were upset. We assume bad ingedients or preservatives.

Buddha bowl was filled up with iceberg salad to show the dish bigger, tempeh in it was tasty. Definitely over prized. Lemaonade is a plain sodastream soda with elderlyflower syrup. No air conditioner. We were the only costumers but can be because of the season or timing 🤷♀️. Place doesn’t seem bad neither anything special.

The big location with its inviting interior has become one of my favorite places lately. Admittedly, this is partly because it is not far from my home. Yet there is much more to Forkys than just practicability for me. The menu is versatile and most dishes are very tasty. I really appreciate that Forkys offers both healthy food as well as vegan fast food, currently I can‘t think of another restaurant in Vienna serving both ends of this spectrum. Some dishes are further special because there are no other restaurants serving such meals. For example, a few weeks ago I finally got the opportunity to eat my first shawarma, I am so glad it is a vegan version (-:

Punkteabzug für die "Frische". Beide Mahlzeiten (falsche Rippchen und Speckknödel) waren nur lauwarm, auch die Pommes, was den Essgenuss schon recht stört. Geschmacklich aber ganz gut. Satt waren wir leider nicht.
