I used to work here (I had to quit because I could not handle the health-code violations and abuse from the owner).
Read moreThey advertised “vegan/vegetarian” and “gluten-free” foods. After the new owners took over, they stopped caring about cross contamination and had to be told NUMEROUS times what “vegan” meant (they would advertise vegetarian food as vegan). Spoons used for fish/meat would be used for tofu and veggies right after touching the meat. Gloves wouldn’t be changed (or even used when preparing foods in the kitchen in some cases). Sauces and dressings would be kept for so long that mold grew in them, we were told just scoop the mold out and serve it (same with if any of the food on front line had mold or went bad).
I tried to explain to them the importance of making sure something they labeled as “gluten free” was ACTUALLY gluten free, or else someone could literally die. They pretty much just shrugged it off and said it’ll be okay. Even thought plenty of our regular gluten free customers brought to their attention that they had gotten sick.
As a vegan, I also care about the people serving my food/working in an establishment I’m supporting. Employees were NOT treated with respect here. Verbal abuse was constant - berating text messages were a norm, pay was awful and tips were taken away and “split” with the owner.
Use caution when ordering - do NOT order pickup/delivery. If you’re going to make an order, make sure you can see the food they’re putting on your plate or you might eat mold, old food, or even a bug 🙃
If you’re visiting Jacksonville and looking for vegan options, try Josephine’s, Wasabi, Old Siam, or Nu Asian Bistro instead

As I walked in, the aroma was pleasing and filled fresh produce. The person helping us had on a plant based princess shirt on and I thought, "finally, a conversation that is going to be easily communicated.
Read moreI had a spinach wrap with veggies, beans, spinach with walnut sauce. It was delicious. I'm gonna swing by again to see what new vegan combination we can come up with.

This place is pretty good. I especially like their deserts, I love how there is actually healthy ingredients In there desserts. For example, the carrot cake had real carrots, pineapple, cranberries, among other this. Very easy to eat here as a vegan/vegetarian as you make your own meal. I would come back

The food here is delicious. I love that you can mix and match anything on their menu to how you want it. All the options they have with meat and dairy can be made without it and the staff are more than glad to do special customed orders for their customers.
