Overpriced bland garbage - Edit
The labeling was only good for cookies. The cakes were not labeled well. We got two slices of cake and they were way overpriced and not good at all. A mug cake would have been better. I thought the reviews on here would lead us to a good bakery but I will never visit again. The cookie was mediocre.

Limited options in a very cute atmosphere - Edit
I appreciate having vegan options so close by, but I wish they had a broader variety. The chocolate chunk cookie is good, as is the berry cake when it’s available. The macaroons are a nice option, though a bit sweet for my taste. Actually, I find all of their products a bit too sweet (I know it’s a bakery, but everything is *extra* sweet), but the place is adorable and there is always a line, so it must just be personal preference

This place is all vegetarian and does have a decent number of vegan options. I like that the cake I had wasn’t overwhelmingly sweet like most places.

Must-do in Detroit - Edit
Stopped in for a pick-me-up between the Detroit Institute of Art and the Motown Museum since this place is close to both and OH MY GOODNESS, what a great idea that was. The ambience is fresh and chic , complete with silver tin plate ceiling, chandeliers and marble top tables. This place is not all vegan, but offered well labeled vegan cookie, cake and macaroon (!!) options. We had the triple layer Matilda cake, which is pretty much like mainlining chocolate, but totally worth the calorie intake - perfect crumb, creamy and not-too-sweet chocolate. Really fab experience all around.

Vegan Desserts Galore - Edit
Manal is the founder of For The Love of Sugar and she is AMAZING! When I went to her shop to try the vegan macaroons and cake I was blown away. Her and her staff are constantly experimenting and making new vegan flavors. I was so impressed I asked her to do a vegan cake and macaroons for my all vegan wedding and they were a hit!
