Surinam food was perfect - Edit
Really enjoyed the vegan mix from Surinam Kitchen. I had tofu, tempeh, green beans and rice. The small pot of spicy sauce on the side was the hottest thing I’ve ever tasted!

Surinamese shop - Edit
I tried the Suriname food stall and really liked there food. I haven’t been to Suriname yet, so I don’t have any comparison, but I would definitely eat there again :).

Lana's Surinam Kitchen - Edit
First time having Surinamese cuisine, I can say I was pleasantly surprised. This food stall has mainly 3 vegan options - tofu, tempeh and potato, which can be served as different dishes (sandwich, roti, rice platter etc.). The roti is delicious and has a very good size too. My favourite was the tofu one, but all 3 options are very hearty!
Read moreI would give a 5 star rating if I could, but the place is not vegetarian or vegan.
I do have to say that labels are not consistently used (example: the vegan options are also called veggie and vegetarian) which was confusing, but the friendly staff was very reassuring.

Foodhall Next to The Beach - Edit
Very nice location for a foodhall. Beautiful views, great vibes and music.
Read moreGreat variety of vegan foods (although there could always be more). I had a vegan cali sushi box with family.
It was very good, although all vegetables, no vegan salmon etc. Would have been nice with a couple of vegan alternatives for fish, but perfect for "old school" vegans who don't care for those.
The ordering was done with a machine and it was pretty simple. You get a beeper with u to the table to get the food when it's ready. Remember to take all the add ons from the counter (soy, wasabi...), those are not brought to the table.
There was no drink service to the tables (at least not for us) and no drinks could be ordered from the sushi place. Probably should have gotten the drinks first from the bar in the beginning. So we didn't order any drinks. We had some sparkling water with us that we drank afterwards outside. First time visiting a foodhall like this so it was a learning experience.
For other vegan options I noticed there was at least thai food, churros and fries. I would definitely go again and try some of the other options. A very nice restaurant concept, even though there was minimal human interaction. A drink service would have been nice.
Pros: A lot of variety to choose from , Nice vibes , Good food
Cons: No drink service to the tables , Minimal human interaction , Can get crowded
