We ate here for breakfast as well as dinner while in Zagreb. We tried both the chickpea omlette and the mexican omelette, they were both great. The portions were really generous, so much that we skipped lunch!
Read moreFor dinner we had a wrap and the wok. They have a different take on the wok, and you can choose between tofu or tempeh. Very nice and filling meals.
The service is really good, the place is family owned and they really love what they do. Sad that the place is no longer fully vegan, but there are more vegan options than the menu lets on. Some signs on the menu to show which meals are vegan would be very helpful.
Great place to eat if you're in town!

Only the drinks (beetroot carrot apple juice, hot cocoa, lemonade and Cappuccino) were really good, and service was also nice! But the food itself wasn't good. The chickpeas omelette was too sandy - even with the guacamole over it. The filling had almost no vegan cheese, just a little bit of a tiny bite of vegan cheese. The portion was big, but when you eat something too dry it's torture. The sweet vegan GF pancakes were also sandy and dry. The price is not worthy, because it was expensive for Croatian standards. Since it is no longer a vegan place, the maximum stars would be 4, and because of the food -2.

This place is a bit confusing as it’s advertised as plant based but is not 100% vegan. The menu is not arranged by dietary requirements nor is there any labelling to show what is vegan. When I asked if the products I wanted were vegan the waiter was not 100% sure to begin with.

Since they are not vegan any more make sure that you order vegan meal (they serve fish, eggs and milk now) especially since they have strange definition of "plant based" - according to them plant based meal is a meal that is based mainly on plants, but not necesarily 100% plants. If it has fish or eggs they think that it is still plant based so be careful if you are vegan!
Also, check your receipt.

I really liked the atmosphere and the location. Since this is 90 vegan I rate it 4 starts. The miso mushroom bowl was good, but some other bowls were average.

Amazing cakes, especially raw snickers cake, highly recommend it. The staff is very friendly. They do not serve meat however, they do serve fish, eggs and dairy. They are educated on any possible cross contamination and they make sure that any vegan meal stays vegan.

Food Garden is located close to the main train station in Zagreb. It offers vegan, vegetarian and pescatarian dishes.
Read moreI had the vegan Miso Mushroom Bowl. It was delicious and filling: they serve this dish with just enough rice. I asked for French fries as well and paid €12 in total.
Unfortunately I was in a rush to catch my train. The waitress was kind and understanding, my lunch was served very quickly.
I would have loved to stay longer, since it seems like a lovely place with a nice interior. It's a pity they are not vegan though, especially because it wouldn't be too challenging for them to eliminate just a few ingredients (shrimp, tuna & salmon).

We were there 2 times. First time we had this really nice food and a very professional service. Photo below and photo comment is from our first night.
Read moreSecond time it was a total disappointment! We were there 1hour and 20minutes before the shop closes and we were told that the kitchen closes 1 hour before closing. So we had 20minutes to order. We said immediately we are ready to order and a very rude waitress said sorry the kitchen is already closed!!! Soooo unprofessional and disappointing! My guess is that the waitress and the kitchen cook did this without the restaurant owner knowing about what they do! So I hope the owner sees this review and keeps a closer eye on his/her employees.

The restaurant is not fully vegan, but most of the meals are vegan, maybe 3 or 4 are not. Really tasty, nice interior, good location. Will visit again.

We had diner at this place and the food was amazing. We ate a green curry with tofu and wok satay sauce with peanuts and tempeh and it was delicious. The fresh juices are also really really good. We ordered 2 bowls for take away for the next meal and same... delicious!

The place offers a range of exciting vegan meals. Shared the vegan charcuterie board with my friends because I was outvoted, the seitan wrap was the best. Looking forward to returning to Zagreb soon to try more stuff on their menu.

Really nice restaurant with many different options - bowls, snacks, warm dishes like curries and noodles (especially the wok Satay are amazing).

We were a a bit disappointed with the tiramisu that was supposed to be the signature dessert, it wasn't very fresh in the plastic cup.

My friend made her own bowl and I order Miso mushroom bowl. Both were very delicious. I can’t believe I’m going to say this but i wish there was more rice or that i ordered some bread along with it because there was so much curry pate. We also shared dessert (banofy pie) which was extremely yummy but I wish it didn’t come in a plastic packaging. The restaurant is very beautiful and the staff was friendly. One of few plant-based restaurants open in Zagreb on 26/12. Huge variety of dishes to choose from. The dessert was very nice and the other dishes chosen were good. Personally I find it difficult to eat Ćevapi with raw onion 😇.
