Rock hard bread 😂 - Edit
I was hoping to rank this meal / place high but had quite a (comical) experience with the vegan cheesesteak folks are posting about. Essentially, the meal had all the potential to be delicious but our bread was so tough we couldn’t even get a steak knife smoothly through different sections. It kind of hurt my teeth and jaw. Check other reviews— this could be an anomaly, and I really should have asked for new bread, lol. We split the cheesesteak between two of us, and since we left some bread behind, we felt hungry enough to order and split something else. But the menu didn’t anything else labeled vegan or with obvious enough swaps other than the impossible burger. And it’s a massive menu.

Love for a fast food treat - Edit
We personally love Food Factory for a classic burger and when going out with friends. We always get the impossible burger and they offer vegan mayo and vegan cheese which is a plus for me because I love mayo on my burger. They also offer a coupe vegan cheesesteaks and sides. The steak fries are vegan and fried in their own fryer. The other fries (curly, sweet potato, etc) are fried in a shared fryer with some other non vegan items- so that is up to your discretion if it matters for you! We personally don’t mind and get the sweet potato and curly fries often. Sometimes they offer a fried artichoke appetizer with homemade vegan ranch. (Sometimes they have the homemade vegan ranch, just ask for it) 🙌

But the cheese steak was not great, I was expecting more since that seems to be their thing. The soy protein wasn't cooked enough, so was kind of mushy, and the cheese was globbed on. The hubs liked the grilled cheese burger sando. They have a pretty extensive menu and surprisingly vegan friendly for being out in the boonies of Alaska.

Heavy & sloppy which was just what we were looking for after a few days of camping! I appreciated that they didn’t upcharge the vegan versions. The vegan items (found under “healthy options”) were actually cheaper than the meat versions which is how it should be. You can veganize any of the cheesesteaks. I had the vegan works cheesesteak and it was super filling. I highly recommend the vegan ranch, they make it in house and it was really good!

I ordered the vegan teriyaki chicken. I have to admit, it was my favorite vegan dish in Fairbanks... Even though I loved the other smaller cafes with so many vegan options and friendly atmosphere, I can't deny this cheesesteak sandwich was the best. Yum! Service was fast and friendly. Typical American-style restaurant, which usually isn't my favorite. Expensive, but the portions were BIG.Wish they had vegan dessert of some kind...

I'm not a super burger and fries person, but if you are, this place is for you! While they have the Impossible patty here, I opted to go with their original Boca patty as an ethical vegan. They have Daiya cheese you can swap out on anything👍🏻

My fiancé and I wanted to try this place since we were excited they offered a vegan cheesesteak option. However, after sitting there for nearly 20 minutes without being greeted - despite multiple staff members walking by, delivering food to the table next to us, etc. - we left. After seeing other reviews online, we’re glad I did. They weren’t busy enough to justify the absolute lack of service.
