No vegan cheese option - Edit
The reason I came here was because they carried vegan cheese but as we ordered, they let me know that do not stock vegan cheese anymore although they did say patrons are welcome to bring their own vegan cheese and they will put it on the pizzas. 
Read moreThe employee stated that the restaurant is trying to develop their own version of vegan cheese. I hope they do. I don’t know why they couldn’t just carry commercial vegan cheese until they develop their own.

I would give it a 5 star if the app would allow me. The pizza is really tasty, we tried both the Vegan Supreme (plus vegan cheese $2 extra) and the Bug Guts (plus vegan cheese $2 extra). Both had similar toppings, the difference is marinara or pesto sauce. They’re a solid tasting pizza with a tiny bit of spicy heat. Definitely recommend!

Great Pizza And Garlic Knots - Edit
We got pizza, garlic knots and salad and really enjoyed them all. The knots are beautifully garlicky (order them with pesto and the marinara). The staff is super nice, they have a dog/friendly patio and a good selection of vinyls too!

Fantastic creative, fresh vegan pizza - Edit
The vegan supreme had an amazing assortment of carefully cut and seasoned veggie toppings, on top of vegan pesto! Only reason not 5 stars is because of Happy Cow rules. The crust was delicious too. The owner Pete actually opened the shop to my mom and I off hours to support our long journey. We enjoyed talking with him about the business and choice of toppings. Great experience all around.

Best vegan pizza I've ever had. - Edit
While Flying Dog’s wood fired vegan pizza is named “Bug Guts” after a popular local vegan band, I can assure you it actually contains no animal products whatsoever. But the Bug Guts is so much more than just a regular pizza, hold the cheese and peperoni; it is a culinary masterpiece that totally delivers on the full pizza experience. With a unique combination of veggie toppings and a homemade thin crusted dough to die for, this is the best vegan pizza I’ve ever had. For any vegan traveling on Highway 101 through Mendocino County in Northern California, Flying Dog’s Bug Guts vegan pizza is definitely worth taking the Willits off-ramp.
