One of Two Breakfast Places

Will be in Birmingham for a few days. Stopped here because it's one of the few places that have vegan breakfast options. Got the tofu scramble with fried potatoes. The portion size was good. I was impressed by how flavorful the scramble was. Spices and seasoning were perfect. I'll be back again while here for the wrap next.

UPDATE: Came back and had the tofu wrap. Was able to modify and add Beyond Sausage to it. Also got a side of Beyond Sausage for extra protein. This wrap was flavorful and filling.

Pros: Flavorful

Cons: Would love to see some Just egg

Small portion and not tasty

The serving size of the tofu scramble was small. The bread likely was served with butter already on it but it was served with a side of non-vegan butter. The Impossible sausages were dry. The tofu wrap was not as advertised, it did not have the chipotle flavor and was just the scramble in a wrap.

Cons: Small portions for the price, Poor quality food , Servers uninformed about vegan options

Hunny… get into it!

Their breakfast was so absolutely DELISH that I obviously forgot to take a ‘before’ picture 🤣🤣. Let’s hope my description will suffice!

There are slim pickings of vegan friendly breakfast options in the Birmingham area, let along lunch and dinner 🙃. That being said, I can’t emphasize enough to my vegan friends to check out Flying Biscuit Cafe. The service I received was pleasantly welcoming and friendly. My waiter ensured my meal was vegan friendly (as the cooks typically pre-butter the toast for customers). I received my food in no time! The menu is very easy to read and all vegetarian/vegan options are indicated and separated. Btw, If you’re looking at their menu via google, there has been some changes. They no longer serve the tofu bowl, which is what I originally wanted to order, but after taking the first bite of my meal… I have ZERO complaints! I ordered the vegan tofu scramble with toast and potatoes (minus the moon dust) & a side of their vegan apple butter which was DIVINE and their vegan spicy mayo which was SLAP YOUR MAMA GOOD! I am full and highly satisfied! My meal was 10/10, highly recommend!

Good vegan options for breakfast/ lunch

This restaurant has a designated vegetarian/ vegan part of the menu. They have a tofu wrap, tofu scramble, and a Beyond Burger as entrees. If ordering the tofu scramble, it comes with fruit and toast. Ask for no butter on the toast as it will arrive buttered. They also have Beyond sausage and Vegan collard greens which are amazing! The staff is friendly and helpful.

Pros: A few vegan options

Cons: Have to customize some options

Ok. This place was really good.

One of the best tofu wraps I have had. A lot of vegan choices. Worth the drive.

Pros: Plenty of vegan options, Customize any way you want

Cons: They don’t have one in FL

Tofu scramble in Alabama??

Tofu scramble is my favorite breakfast and I was sad when I came to Birmingham and couldn't find it, so I was stoked to finally find this place. They have a bunch of other vegan options too. Although the tofu had a strange flavor, usually a scramble is made with traditional breakfast flavors and they use soy sauce, I still liked it. I also got a side of beyond sausage, and they do mimosa flights!

Pros: Quite a few vegan options, Vegan foods clearly marked on the menu, Mimosas

Cons: Speed of service, Soy sauce on breakfast tofu??
