Delicious - Edit

You know this bakery is killing it, when your non vegan friends are amped to go there with you. Everything will have you salivating as you stare at foods that you thought you'd never eat again. The vegan bakery delivers ??

Best pie's ive ever had - Edit

I was so happy when I found this place (thanks to instagram) that I literally bought 6 different things! Ive been struggling to find vegan food that ive actually enjoyed when ive been going out but the pies, my god! Speechless. I almost got suspicious of how real they tasted! They are really light and dont sit heavy either. Ill be visiting here at least three times a week (oops)

Pros: Light, Tasty, Priced well

Great addition to the Gold Coast - Edit

This place is at 'Hollywood Plaza' - i guess because it's on the opposite side of the highway to Warner Bros.

It's at the back left of the plaza. The store has a larger sign on it that says something like Organic Grocery - maybe they plan to add one? - so if you see this don't be put off - that's the place.

The bakery has a full range from danishes, croissants and donuts to bread - although i was told the bread is only available on weekends.

Nothing's brought in, it's all baked in house and looks great. The only thing is at the time of my visit the sweet things were all white flour and sugar - nothing wholemeal on offer.

They also have pies - which is what i got this visit. The pastry is wonderful - albeit white flour again. The fillings varied: the plain pie was ok, i enjoyed it, but it's just that, plain. There's no unusual spice combination or vegies.

I wasn't that thrilled with the chikn pie either, although that could be because i'm not really into chikn pies - i got it because it was recommended to me. Even so, it did have vegies, and the typical chikn pie taste.

But the bolognaise pie was a real winner. It had tomato in it and once i started, it was hard to stop. It was kind of like a pie with sauce, except you didn't need to put sauce on it, and the tomato tasted nicer than sauce, which is a bit sweet and vinegary for my liking.

All the pies are a pretty generous size, too.

Overall 4 stars. Everything looks great and is nicely presented, but no bread's available during the week - which is unusual for a bakery - and there are no white flour and sugar alternatives.

In the words of Arnie, "I'll be back!"

Pros: all vegan - hooray!, full range of goods, all made on premises

Cons: no wholemeal options (outside bread), no white sugar alternatives (outside bread)

Yummy treats - Edit

Tried the custard slice. It was delicious. My non vegan friend had a fruit danish and took some persuading that it was
Vegan. We went on a Saturday morning and there was a queue, but the staff member was cheerful and patient with customers who were having trouble choosing. Great to have such a place on the Gold Coast.

Pros: Broad selection of treats

Cons: No seating
