Always out of something - Edit
Used to be great but the last few years they’ve always been out of some vegan ingredient. Either waffle batter, sausage or maple butter. Not worth it anymore which is a bummer because we used to love going when they were on Fremont & Mississippi.

Read moreA few years back we used to frequently snag breakfast from this little cart. However I've only been able to eat there once in the last three+ years, and it's not for lack of trying.
Lately as the neighborhood has gotten richer and possibly the cart more popular the owner seems to have no interest in actually trying to keep the vegan ingredients in stock. I've swung buy perhaps a dozen times in the last few years and they are always "out" of the vegan sausage and vegan batter. It doesn't seem to matter what day of the week or how early I show up either.
I suspect the owner does not want to use up limited storage space for vegan ingredients during times they suspect they will be getting a lot of (or even a moderate amount of) traffic, but I suppose it's possible there is some horde of hungry vegans that shows up right when they open after re-stock deliveries and cleans them out.
In any case I sure wouldn't make a special trip to this place, because there's a 95% chance you'll be walking away empty handed. You can try calling first, but there's a good chance they won't answer the phone, and a near 100% chance they won't answer on the weekends.
Pros: Vegan options were pretty tasty when availible
Cons: Vegan options nearly never availible, As a Portlander would say, "It used to be better"
