Started out loving this place, but the honeymoon is over - Edit
We originally were in love with the idea of an Indian food restaurant in Carson City, as it is our favorite type of cuisine. We were regular customers for their first few months in business. We liked the food a lot and even overlooked the time they gave us some type of bread coated in eggs despite knowing we were vegan. We started to notice, though, that we were getting the same three dishes every time and said something the last time we went. I asked if it might be an option to request coconut milk or oil in place of cow's milk on some of the menu items that were not vegan so that we could have a few more choices. The reply was "no, it would disrespect the recipes." Really? Of course in my vegan knee-jerk reactionary way I said, "what about the respecting the cows that get abused and have their babies stolen from them?" This was at the end of a meal where they charged us extra for substituting a vegan sauce for the samosas in place of a non-vegan one, so I'm not very sad that I've burned this bridge... especially since we had all their three vegan dishes about half a dozen times before realizing they weren't going to expand their offerings.
